I never realized why it was called memorial beach, had never driven up there. Lived in Cape Pole when the goose went down. Mrs Manty was our nurse that made the rounds back then. Everyone knew Jack. I don’t recognize any of the other names. Long time ago.
Now that sounds like fun! Sounds delicious too. I hear ya though, I'll take the rain over snow any day. I suppose we get more rain than snow where I'm at so it all works out. haha. Good luck on your hunt man!
Hello! To visit these places on Prince of Wales, the best way to do it is to get a Forest Service Map of the island, then rent a vehicle and make an adventure out of it!
Now that cool. ! To see back home again was very pleasurable in deed. Even the rain !! Don’t get much rain here in Rea beach. They said we might get a 10% chance of it this weekend. Ah huh. Love the videos. Keep me coming son !!
At 24:20 of the video: The memorial of those lost on August 25, 1978 occurred about 1 1/2 months before my family left Labouchere. One of my jobs for Robertson & Sons was to meet all the planes and pick up parts, mail, & passengers. That day my brother and I left school to meet the Goose. (We were good students and trusted kids, so we could leave during school for our job.) Webber pilots let me help out by handing luggage & such to load up the My teacher (Gaedecke), Mrs. Murphy, and Miss Manty were the last to arrive at the dock. Their bodies were three of the four found. Very difficult day for all. (Lots more info from my experience that day.) J.P (www.sitnews.us/Kiffer/WebberAir/083018_webber)
So sad that so many people lost their lives in that accident. I always make sure to have a moment of silence and read the names everytime I visit the memorial ❤

Great video, the jet ski thing is weird to see up there. Looks like your having a great trip, Lab Bay went back to nature, have fun!
Those jet skis were trip to see! I thought it was the whale pass boys cutting loose until my friend told me about the tours.
Rain and mud! Send some of that my way in Carson City!
Wish I could send it your way Steve, especially right now!
