Today I'm taking you on my weekly local Goodwill run =) At least once a week I spend a day hitting 5-6 of my Goodwills in Vancouver, Washington. I am so lucky to live in the PNW where we have over 20 amazing Goodwill locations all within an hour drive. I also stop by ReTAILS, a non profit thrift store that supports our local humane society, such a good cause and you know I love all critters! Today was a great day thrifting! What did you think of my finds? Which is your favorite? =)

Laura? Saturate sticker w/veg oil overnight. Slides right off. Lifts automatically. Great for all surfaces especially glass! Honey, you're such a tender spirit. I love your heart, Laura~
The brass cylindrical lid with the finial is used to cover extra rolls of bathroom tissue. We used to have one (when I was little) very similar to the one you purchased. It’s a great idea to hide extra TP these days! 😜😊

Hey, I just found ur channel a few wks ago. Ironically, I'm downsizing from 4200sq ft to 2,000sq ft. (In my 50s) cause this single Mom doesn't need that space to clean. Every time I go drop off at Goodwill, or take things to consignment store, I come home & watch one of ur vlogs. I'm going to do my new house in a more casual contemporary vibe & ur Hippy Chic is inspiring every time. I'm a lil sad & scared, built this house in 1993 & hate to leave, but I keep watching u & getting new design ideas & wanna tell u I appreciate ur channel. You're not a reseller, you're a stylist. 🙂

Please keep doing the voiceovers. You are a natural. While I will miss The Recycled Life, I have always enjoyed your content more simply because I lean much more toward your style, and I love that I always learn something new from every video.
I still remember when you said that you would never have your own channel. Look how much you have grown in confidence. You definitely stepped out of your comfort zone and did it so successful. I think your choosing to embrace color in 2021 is a part of becoming who you were truly meant to be on your own. Love your channel and wishing you much success.

That’s a unique interpretation! I have to admit that in certain lighting it looked like they were made to face the viewer head on rather than in profile, and that their heads were thrown back and their mouths were open. So maybe you’re right? They could be roaring - I saw them as honking geese!

I use glasses similar to the amber ones to serve nuts at a party ! They sort of hover above the salami and cheese trays on the table 🙂🙂 .

I’d cover the Lysol can in the bathroom!! And there’s an orange oil adhesive remover for those stickers.
This is Grandma from Texas. Aqua Net Hairspray was the hairspray of choice in the mid to late 60’s. The 1960’s hairspray can size was pretty standard and fit exactly in the brass cover you bought. It actually IS a hairspray can cover😉. Today hairspray comes in so many sizes but back then we didn’t have as many options. I like the fact that you young’uns can come up with so many creative uses for things we really didn’t think of back then. 😉

Italy is my favorite country. Both times I went for a month and never wanted to come back. Found some wonderful things while I was there and experienced some miraculous things in Assisi(very spiritual town).
I am much older than you but was in a controlling relationship as well. Finally, after many years dumped him to the curb. So rewarding and freeing. Never looked back.

Hi Laura! Love your videos! So we use orange or lemon essential oil for the goodwill (or any other hard to remove) tags. Just a dab to cover the entire tag and wait a few min... glides right off with no damage! The big bottles are usually under $7 and Go a long way!! Hope that helps! Best of luck with everything! 😊💗

I use a blow dryer on low with quick pass over motion to remove sticky labels. Even if some of gummy residue remains, it can be rolled off. I love the voice over. Good job.

Even though it's not my style at all, I love the brass statue. I've not seen anything like it, but I have seen giraffe figurines where they are looking straight up (like they are eating from a tree). Their nose is straight up and their ears are on the side. Perhaps this is an abstract version of that. Or it could be an Alien giraffe.
Voice overs are great. Love the inserts of updated photos, I look forward to that.
Laura, I’ve used a heat gun to warm adhesives and gently remove the price sticker. Also Dawn Power wash spray is amazing too. I’ve only been watching your videos for a few weeks but I’ve just about watched them all. You are so informative and cheerful- love seeing Jessi too ! Oh and just to mention, my mother had a Penguin ice bucket that you find so frequently. She just loved entertaining and filling up the ole bird with ice. 😂
