I really was pleasantly impressed by the pubs in Killarney, a town that is possibly the most popular tourist wise in Ireland after Dublin. A big thank you to the Muttonistas who told me which pubs to go to and to avoid . The recommendations were spot on , and my worries about encountering pubs that preyed on passing trade, serving poor pints , proved to be unfounded. I also visited a late bar with a live band at the front and a nightclub style dance floor at the back , called the Grand, and they served a nice pint as well. Not quite at the standard of these pubs but still a good pint. Obviously I can't pass comment about the consistency of these pubs but I did visit a couple of them twice and they were still as good, and it could be that the weather if it gets too warm can affect the Guinness but I'd suspect you'll be fine at these pubs all year round, but consider coming out of season as accommodation is a lot cheaper. Finally a big thanks to the hospitable pubs and bar staff.
@ it can vary and obviously I haven’t been to every pub in Ireland , Gravediggers in Dublin ,Hughes in Galway , Tynans Kilkenny, Castle inn in Cork (also try Sin É and Callanans there) Muirish Dans in Dingle and Myles Breen’s Limerick.
@@primemutton Thanks so much for the detailed response. I plan to visit many of these locations, when I am in Ireland. This short video, might be of help to your pubs and viewers. How to pour a pint of Guinness in Dublin = ruclips.net/video/wGu9Uq8RnC4/видео.html
Thanks for call back late Monday night. Really enjoyed the chat with you about Iconic Guinness ads. And glad you enjoyed our pint. Keep up the good work.
Yes I’ve been rewatching some of them , thanks for the hospitality and that Superb pint. I suspect on my next trip to Killarney I won’t mess about and head straight to Jack C’s!
You got great recommendations. Glad you visited the Laurels . Its a very popular tourist pub during the summer. Good food and as you found a great pint of Guiness. Charlie Foleys would be up there with the best as well
Love Killarney. I worked a commis in one of the hotels. Used have a. few scoops in Husseys on a spilt shift. Great times . Did get to try the local beer . Two small breweries in Killarney Torc and Killarney Brewing Killarney Brewing produce a fine stout better than Guinness for flavour. Also if you ever get a chance to revisit Killarney, The Celtic Whiskey bar is worth a visit good selection of independent breweries on tap and I think 1600 plus whiskies to try. One place to visit is West Kerry Brewery a pub come guest house with a micro brewery amazing bottle conditioned beers plus same on draught. Kenmare has Tom Crean Brewery ...
I find your reviews fair enough buddy , as an Irish man I've had pints in pubs that had unbelievable reputation that didn't quite hit the mark and I've had pints that were outstanding in lesser known pubs, so each to their own
yes indeed , that's why I'm not keen on giving out numbers or a grading system , the quality in the pubs can vary and I've had some stunners in the countryside where I've only been by accident as a pit stop has been required. Having said that , most of the pubs I've been to , thought well of the pint, and been back, have been good. You might have noticed that there's a very well known Killarney pub that I didn't include in this review. I don't want to name names but it was the only pub that served me a bad pint on the trip.
@primemutton that's fair enough, I know you've covered Dublin before, but I had pints in Walsh's around the Smithfield area and it was like drinking ice cream, that's one that sticks in my mind as good pints, I'll be tuned in to your future videos anyway
Patrick - Love Jack Cs! As a tourist and a 'yank', the folks at Bricín guided me there years ago for a more Irish pub than the Danny Mann, et al. Lovely spot for a pint.
I do like doing so but was a bit rushed , after breakfasts I actually didn’t eat as I had to get the China video out last week along with a lot of instagram work . Similarly in Dingle where I had to squeeze in two pubs on the morning of my departure
I’m away up north of the border and it’s been 30 plus years since I’ve been down in Kerry but from what Ive heard the massive influx of immigrants is destroying Killarney’s tourist scene because they’ve taken up the majority of hotel rooms in the place. Sad times on this island.
@@UsyksmashedFurytwice yes that’s true , the bottom end of the hotel market has been taken away by accommodating Ukrainian refugees . I obviously don’t like paying more for hotels all over Ireland now , but I don’t know what the solution is. In terms of hotels being converted for asylum seekers in Britain which maybe aren’t all coming from war zones , I would say that processing them more quickly and making decisions about whether they can stay or get deported is the best option .
Who the heck recommended Jimmy Briens..?? It’s as bitter as hell. DLs got the best pint of the Black stuff. The Laurels has the best Kilkenny’s bar far ….

Killarney is oddly good value for a pint - even at the height of tourist season.
@ yes everything between 5 and 6 and often below 5.50
@@primemutton Enjoying your show for the first time, from New York City. In your opinion, what is the best Guinness and Guinness pub in Ireland?

Can't keep looking at YT to see if West Kerry video is up. When can we expect to see it??? From there so dying to see it.
I estimate the dingle video to come out 20th December , I was only able to get this one up so quickly because of the international break
Look superb pints😋👍

Guys a legend.
Speakeasy and Courtney’s best in Killarney for me, Jack C’s bar is underrated also.
Raining creamers in Killarney 😂😅 indeed. Another bang up job by the mutton.
Would you ever review Belfast in the North ?
Hope to sometime in 2025
Good stuff.
That is how English people should visit Ireland.
Enjoy the craic.
Nice one prime mutton ime watching 👍😎
On the Guinness ? Can 't beat it !
Glad you hit up Jack C's that my local, great spot, underrated in the town
For me the best pint in Killarney , though of course that can vary from week to week or keg to keg
@@primemutton Definitely, hope you got to see the dog Ginny whos a local legend in that pub.

You must do a vlog in Dingle someday Mutton. It's a great spot.
Should have watched the whole video 😂
I Was in Killarney this weekend, would’ve loved to share a pint!
The best pint I've had, was at the rooftop bar at the brewery in Dublin. 🍻
I had one of my worst pints ever at da Guinness Brewery and you’d think it should be the very best🤔
You've got to love a bit of mutton. (algorithm tickler) 8 words
Excellent new sub 👍

Dingle is nothing but creamers. If you are ever near Tralee. Curbys pub in Ardfert is my favourite pint around
The prime mutton saved my life
