    Thanks for the video. Is the technique for washing a lace wig different. Can you put water on the lace/cap

    • @wigscom
      @wigscom  3 года назад +6

      Hello RB,
      No, it is not different. Because the cap and lace of the wig collect sweat and oils from everyday wear as well, we recommend washing the cap and lace with shampoo ONLY.
      Please do not apply conditioner close to the roots or lace as the conditioner will loosen the knots of you hair and your hair may start shedding.
      We hope this helps to answer your question and if you have any further questions in the future, please feel free to contact us Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 6:30 pm CST. Call TOLL-FREE 1-800-581-2001 or email customerservice@beautyandhair.com.
      Have a great day!

    I have a hairpiece it’s not awake but it is a hairpiece that is human hair that’s colored. Can I use regular shampoo and conditioner or do I have to buy something special to wash it

      You can use regular shampoo and conditioner on human hairpieces, but we recommend using products specially made for wigs, as they are more moisturizing and can help lengthen the lifetime of your piece. You check out our collection of these products here > www.wigs.com/collections/beautimark-human-hair-care.

    What I want to know is why I can't use my own shampoo?

      Hello Judith,
      That is an excellent question. When human hair is processed, it is exposed to a number
      of different chemicals, dyes, and highly advanced techniques to achieve the ideal color and texture. The most important factor in keeping your human hair feeling silky and smooth is keeping it well-conditioned. Unlike our own biological hair, your piece cannot produce the oils essential to keep the hair in the wig or hairpiece vibrant and moisturized. We always recommend using products specifically formulated for human hair wigs and hairpieces as regular shampoo and conditioner can contain chemicals that can potentially strip the processed color, damage this highly processed hair; and leave your wig dull, dry, and damaged.
