DO NOT MICROWAVE YOUR WIG. I did it and damaged it. First the comb started sparking. Dipped it back in the conditioner "water bath" and was not able to save it. There were clumps everywhere. My one wig is damaged. Save yourself the confused faces of coworkers when they see that you had long hair the day before and the next you show up with shorter hair in a ponytail.

I did all of these steps MINUS the bag and microwave and my wigs came out GREAT. I also laid them out on a towel to dry.

That's exactly what im doin with my extensions. SiliconMix is my fav but I HAVE SO MUCH THE SMELL OF IT. :*
Instead of microwaving your wig, get a wet towel or rag and put that in the laundry dryer and after put your wig in that for on minute. It's better than burning your house down with a plastic bag.

Use fabric softener
make sure to find out if your cosplay wigs are human hair or synthetic. usually cosplay wigs are synthetic, so if it is, fill your sink with warm water, then get some fabric softener, (about almost the cap full) and pour it into the water. then let your wig soak either for an hour, two hours, or even overnight. whatever you’d like
Do not do that with synthetic wigs they can't handle the tangling
Not with synthetic wigs but with human hair wigs go for it

My straight wig is fluffy after washing even after straightening not sure why?
Do I really need to blow dry my human hair wig? Why can't I just let it air dry? It's starting to shed and idk what to do about that. Won't adding heat make it worse 😔 help

Semileniola Abisola I would say yes and look up tutorials for boiling it (but use fabric softener for synthetic hair)
It's recommend to use colder water if the wig has a set style.

A synthetic wig would not be able to handle all that swishing and tangling lol
plz tell me how to rid tangles in it plz
How I get rid of them for awhile is first brushing it and then keep it. hanging somewhere so it won't get tangled very easy.
