Oh Tessie I am so glad I saw this video. It may be 7 years old but just what I needed. Hubby got 10 lbs on onions. Now I know how to use all those onions. Thanks. 😊

Thank you Tessie. I have seen other onion soup videos and they all cook the onions first. I like your idea of raw pack instead and will try it this way. I also do not boil my lids when pressure canning nor do I sterilize my jars. I simply wash in hot soapy water first. I do sterilize jars and heat lids when I am water bath canning.

Love this idea. I am an onion freak! I would use my own stock and probably add salt and Worcestershire sauce after cooking. Great guidelines. I will be using your leadership on this as soon as we get moved next month. I have had a brand new canner for a year and have yet to be settled enough to use it. BTW, you are the first YTuber I met on FB before anything. Thanks for reaching out, Tess. Peace, Vicki

Here I am again, my daughter and I are making your onion soup again. ITS AMAZING GOOD. We made a bunch last time couple times over last 2 years and it has been a hit for anyone we have over. What I love is that it is a easy base then to add my canned veggies and soup in a minute. I know at this time your family is going through the loss of both your parents. Again I am so sorry my sister in Christ, but know you are continually in our prayers and thoughts as you walk this tough road. Hugs and love to you all

Tessie, We live in a small town and there are two grocery stores, but none have bones There is a private meat processing place in town. The butcher there processes fresh off the trailer just one at a time, the walk off. They come from grass fed farms and are pasture raised. So these cattle have had a stress free life and are quickly put down. I get all the bones from the butcher free. We do a trade out, he tells me what he wants me to bake for he and his crew. That has been cookies, sweet rolls and the like. I usually get about 75 pounds of fresh bones with lots of meat. It is great and I get to have beef stock that I can for soups, etc. You might want to see who processes deer in your area and see if they do private processing or they may know of someone who does. Blessings, Jo Ann

You and I think a lot alike. I saw your video and said watch Tessie she does things a lot like you do, with a lot less fuss like the others go through, work smarter not harder. I'll probably use my go to for beef broth (since we haven't been buying a lot of beef lately) knoor beef broth granules I love the flavor of that. We recently got six pounds of onions on sale so I figured I'd try this canning recipe and easier for me is always good.
