The drone wasn't in the air. He doesn't even know if that was the drone that was up. Could have a heavier drone in his bag. Fast becoming the worst auditor out there, capitulates straight away every time whereas DJ audits is becoming more assertive and better.

Well, if they suspect it has a camera or needs an operator id they can get the operator id. But not identify the flyer, they can then contact the operator of the drone to request the flyer detail’s.

The police can stop any activity if they suspect a crime may be committed. Once they are satisfied there is no crime they will let you continue. That is called doing their job
I think it would be really fun, when asked if you know how much your drone WEIGHS ... to say no. You know its MASS (249 grams) but its WEIGHT (would be measured in Newtons) depends on the local value of 'g'. Probably around 9.81 but you'd need to know the EXACT value. Yes it's a bit nerdy, maybe even a bit pedantic, but I think it could be fun.

Using your drone to obtain footage to use in monetised RUclips videos does count as commercial use and therefor requires drone-specific liability insurance. Commercial use doesn't just mean that if you are being contracted, paid to obtain footage, or selling it afterwards.. if you gain money from the footage at all, it is commercial use. You say you have it which is fine, but yes you DO need it... Plus it's better to have and not need, than to need and not have :)
The copper knows the drone legislation pretty well. Classing filming for RUclips as commercial is arguable, and I think he's ultimately wrong on that, but not outrageously so!

If a drone operator is getting paid in any way for there drone flight, whether £1 or £50000 drone commercial insurance is a must have cover as it classifies with the civil aviation authority as a commerercial flight .under 250g for commercial purposes defined as any use where you will get a financial payment you are required to hold a drone specific third party insurace.

Local police station now has no public access. However, it is useful to know that I can get the attention of the police inside by standing outside with a drone or camera.
Why would you let him touch your drone for. And he did not know the drone law. And him was telling you the law after you did the test, and the qualification gives YOU the authority to fly.
That's the CID headquarters I live around there I saw it on a police documentary before, us locals didn't know it was CID HQ we called it a carpark cos there's generally no activity there

g is accepted to be 9.8 m/s2. Taking into any account of small differences id rounded to 2.44. Even with slight changes in g it would still be 2.44 due to rounding. If you check my time line I’ve suggested this numerous times to auditors over the last three years.

The angle you seem to approach from is "If you've done nothing wrong, you've got nothing to worry about". If a police officer came to your house and asked to look through because they think a wanted person they're seeking may have ran inside this house, would you just let them in to "Look around"?. The fact is that if you're not legally obligated to hand over the item, then don't. Trust me, well over 99% of them are not your "Friend". Well over 99% of them are only looking of a way to arrest you.
