Yeah it's cheating, but the footage should be enough evidence to declare a win in my opinion.
If you fake a tapout and then start beating on a defenseless fighter, you should not only be banned from the sport, but you should be charged with assault.

I see times in a real sanctioned fight, where fighters show habits of just being in training. After the Holland / Khamzat fight, that the high 5 in the beginning isn’t a good idea. Fighters should train the training out of them preparing for a fight. It’s not official until the Ref stops it.

It’s a cheap cheat. And you have a point; it makes it more dangerous for other fighters that tap and the ref doesn’t see it. Broken arms, or legs can easily result.

MMA is not soccer, fake tap is definitely cheating. That is why I can not watch soccer + it's boring. If you want to act, go to drama school. MMA unlike soccer is a real sport.
