Thank you for this video! I inherited a pot of these from my father in law that passed and it is absolutely filled and overflowing with these. There are a bunch of small ones under the big ones that now aren't getting enough light so I'm about to repot. ❤

Hello Wesley. I commented about a month ago about propagating the Aloe Juvenna. I took your advice and let them callous for a couple of days before putting them in soil. It's been about 11 weeks now and I've just potted them up into one 8" pot. Some were more rooted than others but I am confident that they will survive. (they have up until now). I am thrilled because now I have two larger pots and and two smaller ones. One with 1 plant that will probably be a gift and another with two plants. I wish I could post pics for you. If you would like to see my pics, just tell me where to send them. Keep up the good work.

Your video is wonderful, but still did not answer my question:
I have some tall plants with lots of roots & I’m repotting them all.
My question: “can I chop of the top of the plant & root the top?
And, what will happen to the bottom half of the plant after I cut off the top?”
    Thank you!
I’m hoping to hear back from you really soon as I now have about 20 plants, most with massive roots. ☺️

Hi! 👋🏽 Thank you so much. You can basically chop this plant anywhere and it should grow out a new shoot from the base part and the top part should grow out new roots too. Just make sure you give plenty of light, warmth and some moisture, but not too much and you should be fine. Many variables can change the outcome depending on your home conditions, but with all those plants you have, it sounds like you should be able to create tones more. Have fun! 😃🪴

You don't use any perlite in your soil mix. Is there a reason for this?

Yes, I’m using a terracotta pot, thus moisture will already be wicked away from the soil 🪴

I've just recently obtained one of these. It was very overgrown and had stems stretching and hanging over the pot. There is no one local that that has one of these so no help there. I've cut them and let them harden and put them in soil. How long will it take for them to get rooted and established enough to produce pups? I have each cutting in a small pot of its own and really want to put them in a community pot. how long should I wait? I don't want to disturb them while they are producing roots.

Sounds like you have a great bunch of this plant. Depending on light, heat etc, it could take a month or so. You could put one in a clear container to see how the roots are growing out, otherwise when you see some top growth, you’ll know they’re starting to produce enough roots to sustain them. Have fun growing them out 😃🪴
