- In this video I start the rebuild on the wrecked Yamaha YXZ that I recently purchased. I removed the bent cage and replaced it with a Krash Off-road Aftermarket cage. Very satisfying results!

1 in a billion that it popped in like that. Kudos to your wife for being a trooper. It was all she could handle, and she made my head hurt.
I usually don’t get that lucky. My wife definitely puts up with a lot.
Love it can't wait to see the progress.
Thank you!
Nice another great video I can’t wait to see the transformation
I have a lot done to it since I recorded this video and a lot more parts ordered. It looking really awesome.
That looks, sick man!! I just got a 2023 SS, and have been looking at their cages.
They are crazy good quality and great people. An aftermarket cage is really necessary on the yxz.
Thank you for sharing
🤗🏆🇺🇲🙏
Bro! That cage is hands down even better than the other one. Love the wing AND the sunroof. Maybe could have tinted it. Nice job!
It has definitely grown on me. I much prefer the black roof. I agree with the tint. That would be nice on the hot days.
Nice rig
Had another thought lol. The spoiler is cool because it's unique. At least I've never seen one like it, but the angle looks more like a wicker bill
Yeah it does look like a wicker bill
Nice to see that the damage was only to the stock cage itself. I also have the Krash cage on my 16 YXZ, and love it. Your comment about the sunroof in the dunes make me think about seeing if Krash could make me just the roof with one in it? Couple ideas for you... with the harnesses you don't need those shoulder bolsters, much more comfortable without those. Also if you're going to remove the front fenders, you may want to remove the hood and cut the fender plastic near the top of the dash so It's easier fold the fenders in to clear the intrusion bars. I changed my color from orange to black and had to bend the shit out of the new plastic to get it on. But my plastics are not painted like your blue ones. Baja designs makes some super small pods that will fit in your hood scoop, I think your year already has the brackets. They are much brighter than the Rigid pilar pods that I have. Sorry to ramble, already a sub!
I’m sure crash can make you a roof that will bolt right up. I believe they laser cut them so they should be interchangeable. They may even be able to modify your existing roof. One of my next videos I actually cut off the shoulder pads and made some new custom pads to cover the latches. It’s so much more comfortable. I never thought about having to get the plastics off around the cage. I haven’t done that yet. I’ll look into your recommendations. Thanks for the info and support!
@@FilthyKnobsOffRoad Anytime Brother! Keep up the good work! P.S. Simpson makes those pads for the latches. Bought mine at an offroad show for $40.
Where do you get your after market parts looking for a racing crank and some racing cams having trouble finding anything thats not factory parts
I haven’t really touched any engine internals but I know Weller racing has some good stuff. I planned on getting with Mott Motosports if I need any engine work done. I don’t really trust myself.
What kind of windshield can you run with the cage?
It’s a SuperATV Windshield that I modified. Here is a video that I made of modifying and installing the windshield:

How hard of a hit did your stock cage take? I know it doesnt take much.
It was a slow speed rollover going under 20mph in an attempted donut. I wasn’t driving but I was surprised how much damage was caused by such a light rollover. Stock cage is pretty scary.
Is Krash still have a long wait? I know i should just call them but my next purchase will be a cage. How long did it take to have your 2nd one built?
Yeah. It took about 4 months for both of mine because they are made to order. Sometimes you can call and get lucky and someone has backed out on a cage or they have an extra one made up for some reason and you can get it right away. Usually you put half down in the beginning and then pay the remaining half 4 months later when it’s finished. The wait is long and drags on when you are excited about the cage but it’s worth the wait.
Thanks man. Keep the videos rolling they are great !!
Sure do miss the YXZ content! What happened?
Just came out with a riding video like a week ago. I have been dealing with some struggles with a product that I purchased and have had to have my YXZs disassembled a lot lately. I have a bunch of yxz videos coming soon.
