Just purchased a 21 and love it so far. Good info!
awesome! as far as side by sides go its definitely the best value for they type of riding I do. The yxz has been the most exciting sxs to drive in my experience but there is definitely a learning curve especially on hill climbs and mudding. Rev it to the moon and it will take care of you.
Thank you very much for your videos. As I have reviewed every(?) SxS, some costing way more…I now know what my dream is going to be. It will be my 70th birthday March 2023…I hope to find your roll cage information in writing then make my notes as per your video here. When the cage is completed I will drive out in my pickup to get it from Leavenworth, Kansas! I simply cannot wait to have a near carbon copy 2023 version of your totally amazing toy.
Would I benefit any by powder coating the outside of my header pipes?
Thank you for the kind words! My cage is the Krash Off-road Short Cage. Black to match the frame and the Yamaha blue for the roof. I got the light bar and chase bar tabs. Everything else comes with it already( intrusion bars, mirror mounts, adjustable harness bar and whip mounts). If you contact Krash they will walk you through and figure out exactly what you want. Chad and Mandy are great people. If you have anything you want incorporated into the cage like light bars or window nets you can send them to Krash and they will install them into the cage. If you want to get the exact specs I have my name is Jesse Kittle. If you give them my name they should be able to look my cage build up in their records. If you know you are getting a yxz you might want to have them start building your cage beforehand since it takes a while to build the cage. It’s a pretty safe investment as long as you go with a black cage. If you didn’t end up buying a yxz I’m sure you could get all your money back selling it on marketplace or a forum. People are waiting in line for cages. I would not powder coat headers. Headers get a little too hot for powder coat I believe.

Hello, what powder coat color code did you use for the roof? Looks great! Trying to match mine as well.
I’m not sure. Krash Off-road had all of the powdercoating done. They would know the code.
Thank you for your detailed review
How much room is there to remove the front cover (hood)? I have my switch relay box there and a lot of vital parts are under the hood.
I have my relays, fuses and wiring under the hood as well. I have no issues getting into it. In my keyed ignition/brake light splice video I take off the hood with the aftermarket cage on. You can forward through the video and I eventually take my hood off. Here is that video:

Should be around 3minutes 20 seconds into that video
Is that the xprite chase bar off amazon?
Yeah it is. It has been really awesome. I have had a lot of people say that that light is the only thing that kept them from running into the back of me when it’s really dusty out. This is the bar I have:

But they made a new one since I bought mine that to me looks better:

What kind of clamps are those for the quick release extinguishers?
I actually made a video about the fire extinguishers and the mounts. ruclips.net/video/LkM_6iwwQHE/видео.html
here is a link to those clamps on amazon though. amzn.to/3w3O6In

I have a buddy that got some brackets from Krash Off-road that allows you to use the Yamaha flip up windshield. Krash Off-road actually offers their own glass windshield for their cages as well for street legal applications.
what are the mouts called holding the quick relase for the fire extinguishers
I made a video on my fire extinguisher assemblies: ruclips.net/video/LkM_6iwwQHE/видео.html
The link to the brackets are in the description of that video
Cost?
Around $2,000 with the custom light bar and chase bar tabs. I also got the powder coated black to match my yxz frame and the roof blue to match the blue components. That all is included in the above price.
Thanks. I have the same color and year you have. I also bought the Tesseract Box today based on your recommendation.
@@boatlakemead1 sweet you will definitely love that box. I am really glad the videos help.
