Signia Active Pro Review

- In this video I have a look at the Signia Active Pro hearing aids.
These earbud-style hearing aids are rechargeable, come with Bluetooth and therefore can connect to the Signia smartphone app. There are two technology levels, Active and Active Pro.
The most interesting part is the design: they are In-Ear hearing aids that SHOULD be seen - just like when you're wearing "normal" earbuds.
That's because Signia's main target group for these hearing aids are younger people who are used to wearing headphones/earbuds.
Check out my video and as always I'm happy to answer your questions! :)
Would these suit someone with more of a severe lost ? I know it says moderate well mild to moderate I’ve tried so many hearing aids and nothing have done the job yet just kept getting whistling feedback
What's the major difference between Active and Active Pro? Can Signia Active be used for Android phones and what accessory is needed? Thanks a lot for reply.
Hello and thank you for your comment.
In a nutshell, the Active Pro has more channels (the more channels the better your hearing professional can adjust them to your hearing loss) and some extra features like eWindscreen, Spatial Speech Focus (for better clarity in noisy environments) and EchoShield.
Some Android phones feature direct streaming, but many Android devices will need an accessory (StreamLine Mic) for hands-free phone calls. Here is a list of compatible devices: www.signia.net/zh-sg/support/compatibility/
Hope that helps!
Best,
Dave
Thanks for the review ... Could you please review the Signia Insio charge & go AX?
Hi Arunkumar, thank you for the great question.
I'll definitely do that as soon as I can get my hands on a pair.
Best,
Dave
Hi I'm 61 and went to an audiologist and she was recommending the active pro
When I asked could I try them out and she told me I must buy them first and if I don't like them she said they have 100 day money back guarantee , but I'd rather try before I buy , anyhow would you recommend these hearing aids for a person of 61
I've moderate hearing loss in my right ear and moderate to severe in my left ear
Anyhow thank you for a very informative review
Hi Sean,
I can absolutely understand your concern of buying hearing aids without prior testing, however it has become quite common under Audiologists to sell hearing aids with money-back guarantee instead of offering free trials.
If I was in your shoes I'd contact another hearing professional if they offer a trial period before you go and buy the hearing aids.
If you're interested in my feelings about the Active Pro hearing aids and if they're a good fit for you, I can say the following: the Active Pro is Signia's first rechargeable In-Ear hearing aid, so if you want to avoid changing tiny batteries these hearing aids are Signia's smallest choice. The earbud design is a matter of taste, you can like that or not.
In Signia's product range are some alternatives that I'd like to highlight:
- Signia Silk X: very small In-Ear hearing aid that can be controlled with the Signia App. Battery powered (size 10 - very small) and without hands-free phone calling. Focus is on size.
- Signia Pure Charge&Go AX: Behind-The-Ear hearing aid, rechargeable, works with Signia App and allows hands-free phone calls to iPhones and many android phones. Cool hearing aid but you have something behind the ear and a receiver in the ear.
If you're comfortable with the earbud design and have an iPhone (it has direct streaming to iPhones, for Android phones you need an accessory) then go for the Active Pro. If you want something smaller and changing batteries is ok for you then the Signia Silk X might be a good option. And if you don't care about the size of the hearing aid and are looking for the latest Signia hearing aid, you should go for the Pure Charge&Go AX.
Hope I could answer your question. Please contact me if I didn't cover anything.
Best,
Dave
Many audiologist are pushing a particular product .
Please take time to call around /go online to find an audiologist that has available hearing aides to test. I have been to many and there are sham audiologists out there. Go to a reputable one and you will see they have many test models for 10 to 30 days. That’s whats normal.
fyi..I am testing this model currently. It’s fairly easy to travel with and fits snuggly in the ear. My only issue is concerning No waterproofing. Todays world is prone to sudden rain/downpours. Must have a hat or hair long enough to protect the Signia pro x. I also tested silk x. Small but no iphone streaming. I can’t makeup my mind as each has its benefits. All the best to you!
I tried the Nuheara Iq max2 they kind of suck . Have you review them and compared the to
I tried the Nuheara Iq max2 they kind of suck . Have you review them and compared the to pure charge and go?
Hi, and thank you for your question!
I haven't reviewed the Nuheara IQ Max2 in an own video yet. However, what I can say is:
- the look is completely different. The Signia RIC hearing aids are much more discreet then the Nuheara earbuds
- Nuheara earbuds are easier to use, as they're simply put in your ear. It needs a little more practice to put Signia's devices on correctly
- when it comes to speech understanding, Signia Pure Charge and Go win by far
So when it comes to better hearing I would definitely recommend Signia Charge and Go - of course that's my personal opinion and your individual sound impression can be different.
However, when it comes to the price, of course Nuheara has the better offer. So if you want to go for earbud designs, you can absolutely try them. Also, when you're looking for small and affordable hearing aids, you should definitely have a look at www.audionexx.com.
Hope that helps! :)

Again the Nuheara sucks as hearing aids .
@@danphillips3580 depends on your hearing loss and expectations, but I agree 100% that there are better hearing aids for improving speech understanding.
Ya my dad has several different pairs for diff. purposes. There really isn't an "all around" set yet. It seems that, ofc, 'these are primarily meant to be "hearing aids" in the more traditional sense (that was a good thing for you to point out, ty).
The Nuheara buds are geared more toward them being for listening to your own music, but having some features that overlap into hearing assistance. I got a pair of the Nuheara buds because the music quality is noticeable better and they work well enough at selectively cancelling and modulating ambient noise while still being able to assist in convos, etc. I kinda still see one is a pair of modern hearing aids and a headset, with a bit of cross training lol.
I definitely like the way the Signias fit better. The Nuheara buds are comfortable enough, but still a little too husky for my taste. I hope the next generation shows significant improvement in either how the weight is balanced in the buds, or that they slim them down. As for fit and comfort, to get the passive cancellation to be effective, i have to twist and work them into my canal which is annoying. Once their, they're fine and comfy, but I'd prefer a deeper fit into my canal.
If you have any specific questions, I'm happy to tell you what I think. They're definitely a product still in development and innovation stage with all the manufactures, and each seems to have a strength. For example, the 55 hours of batter I have on my cheap, Jlab ANC Pro's is insane and kind of spoils you, hehe. But, they are by far the most limited in features. I really wish i could take each best feature and have the perfect pair!
Do these do Cros style of hearing?
Hi Daniel. These hearing aids are not made for CROS hearing. You can find that function ie. in Signia's Pure Charge&Go.
Best,
Dave
Anybody know if these would be suitable for those with Sensorineural Hearing Loss?
Hi Paddy,
These hearing aids are absolutely suitable for sensorineural hearing loss 👍
@@hearingaids-Dave Thank you for your reply. :)
@@paddyoprey4069 you’re very welcome sir! 😊

Can anyone tell me it's work with severe to profound hearing loss ? Or let me know any other good device which suitable for me with same featuers....
Thanks..
Hi Muhammad, I wouldn’t recommend the Active Pro for severe or profound hearing loss. It might have too much feedback because of its small design.
If you’re looking for a Signia hearing aid with the same or even more features that is suitable for severe and profound hearing loss you should have a look at the Signia Pure Charge&Go AX. You can find them online, i.e. here: www.hearplace.com/hearing-aids/signia/

Hi Rizwan Bahi,i hope you are well.may i know which hearing device you have used?

Hi Saidu. You'll need a local hearing professional for programming, so better ask there about their pricing.

Dave

Hi Sharma. I don’t sell these hearing aids, but you can find them here: www.hearplace.com/product/signia-active/
They are not reliable. Fixed them 3 time for the last year.
