I cleaned my house this morning from 9:00 to 12:00 with your video being my reward at the end of the time! Thank you for a positive, encouraging, and practical message. Now, I feel energized to tackle the rest of my day.🙂
Hi there! Love your videos! They inspire me to get some things done that I wouldn't.😊 One thing that I do with some of my papers. The Birth certificates, passports, or other certificates/papers that we must have are put in a fireproof file box. I also put the emergency cash and a few of my special pieces of jewelry that I don't wear but are worth something. This way if there is a fire or an emergency I can grab the box and go. The other family members in the house know that is one of the things that need to get grabbed in an emergency and everyone knows where it is. If there is a fire, it is more protected and we might have a way to recover the items and not have to replace everything. This is a tip that someone gave me long ago and helps with peace of mind. ❤️It might be helpful to someone else.😊
This is a REALLY great idea, Dewayna, for many reasons! Thank you for sharing!! These current times are unstable. One look at the grocery store will show that! I appreciate you being here very much!! We are all in this together!! Thank you for your encouragement to me!! 💐💝
In Norway everything is automatically registered on an official tax webpage, I get a email and sms when it is time for tax registration, look through if everything is correct, and then send just "yes" per sms. Since the last 10 years everything got more and more digitalized, and I am so thankful for that. In my postbox, which is mostly empty, I receive now only postcards and journals. The other documents like birth certificates, passports, etc. are in a fireproof bag by the entry door. This gives me peace of mind. Thank you for your video today 🤗 it is always motivating to hear your voice
WOW! I love how Norway handles taxes! That is awesome!! It sounds like you have a great system! Thanks so much for spending your time with me, Mond! I appreciate you! 💞🌷
Hi Karen, great video again, Leo, he so often steals the show😂 the way he looked straight into the camera! He’s so funny at times. Great tips on dealing with paperwork, I’ve made my hubby promise that as new insurance policies etc come in he goes through our paperwork and replaces old with new. Ohh and don’t start me on the empty envelopes I’ve taken out of there! Why he puts the envelope back in there I just can’t fathom! Paperwork is a real pet peeve of mine, hubby opens his mail, looks at it, back in the envelope then literally shoved it at the side of the cupboard. Periodically I come along fling it all out and ask him to sort it. He won’t change now I’m sure, almost 40 years of marriage and he’s still stubborn as a mule at times.😂😂 As always my lovely, love and light to you. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hi Pam!! Yes!! I didn't realize Leo was looking into the camera until I did the edit!! 😂😻 Oh, marriage!! Funny how God puts us together and we learn to live with each other's habits!! I definitely deal with incoming mail! Then there are a *few reminders* for hubby to deal with his actionables!! 😉 Thanks so much for being here, Pam! I appreciate you!! 💐♥️
For my tax papers, i mostly do the same. I take a big enveloppe (from dollar store) at the end of the year for the next year. And through that year, everything i know i will need for taxes, i put it in there as soon as I get the paper so its fast when i need it. And i can go back to it when i need it because I write the year on it with a sharpie.
Hi Stefanie!! YES!! It has worked so well for us since we decided to do this and we don't have to worry about the papers getting scattered! Thanks so much for being here! I hope you have a great week!! ☃️💝
Kenneth set my table up last night. This morning I got all my papers, folders, paper shredder and trash bag. Your video showed me. How to get it done. And how to keep it in order. With less stress. Thanks my friend. Jesus loves you! Sherry
Loved this video. I struggle with paper clutter so much. I have boxes of delayed decisions just sitting around. This gives me the motivation to start processing the paperwork.
I'm so glad, Rebecca, that you loved the video!! If you have a system for what is coming in now and keep it separated, then you can slowly chip away at the paper of the past and have it not affect what you are doing today!! I'm so glad you are here!! 💝🌷
I have gone very green when it comes to bills. Nothing is physically mailed to us now. But it’s the amount of credit card offers and flyers we get --that amazes us!! Those get shredded immediately. If I get an important piece of mail, I scan it and it is backed up in two spots (external hard drive and online.) Now if it’s tax related or job related, it is also scanned but also filed. I can find anything in seconds thanks to my digital system. It has saved hubby more than once when we have been away from home and he needed a document. It’s what works for us. But my main reason for doing it is so that I don’t have piles of papers sitting around. I’m a private person, so if people come over, they won’t be taken aback by paper clutter. 😃. Great video!!! Happy Monday everyone!
Great tips, Karen. Regularly dealing with it does seem to be the only thing that keeps paper in check! The good thing is that once it does become a habit it rarely takes more than a few minutes to deal with.
You are so right, Monique! If you keep up with it, it’s a quick job! But if you turn your back on it, there’s a big pile! Have a great week, friend! 💝💝
I handle our mail on a daily basis because I don’t want a pile of stuff hanging over my head. It is just comforting to know it is taken care of. Of course, I am a paperwork person and don’t mind working at my desk.
Julia Perry said (in the chat) to take pictures of your rooms for insurance. What a great idea! I've been thinking about pictures and videos both. I also thought about telling some of the stories for items, for the kids in case they want something in the future. I live with a lot of vintage items (like furniture). And it's weird fun to see how our farm or home has changed through the years. I'm going to put "documenting the environment" on my long term/more time than money list.
That is a really great idea and I love the idea of telling the stories! I missed that in the chat! Then, the chat disappeared when the video stopped! So much I need to still learn about RUclips! Thanks so much for being here, Brenda!! ☃️☀️
I am a mother of four grown boys. We NEVER had our paper under control. Early in 2020 I went through my house and gathered ALL my paper clutter. I had 6 file boxes and one rubber maid tote of paper clutter! OUCH! Ridiculous.. I know! I made my way through the 6 file boxes in 2020 and the rubber maid tote has sat in a corner since then. Recently, I discovered the Sunday Basket so I decided to give it a try. It has been a month now and all the new paper coming in my house has been dealt with and it feels good! Each Sunday when I sit to do my Sunday Basket I grab a handful of stuff from the dreaded rubber maid tote and deal with it. Eventually, I will have my paper under control.

Your advice is so appreciated!! Right now I need to get my house back in order. I've been up for 2 3 days at a time with Louis. I am praying he will be able to come home soon! Hi! Is there an oppertunity for you to go online and register to refuse advertisment and such things in your mail? (We have that in Sweden and whole scandianavia) Could you put a sign on your mail box that says "No advertisment, flyers or free magazines"? Most people here do that and random "commersial stuff" isn´t aloud to be put in ones mailbox if there is a sign like that. The paper you never get doesn`t have to be decluttered at all.😄 About recycle versus scredding 😄 Every paper that has been proper scredded can be recycled 👍 That meens both integrity AND recycle. Envelopes can´t be recycled since the glue on them can´t be broken down in the process of making new papers.
Thanks for sharing the awesome info! I have signed up before to not receive junk mail but it still seems to find its way to me! I need to look into it…maybe I have to do it yearly? Thanks so much for spending your time with me! 💐❤️
@@ThisMainerMom Might be different in different countries and areas. Here the register is aloud to "keep you" for as long as 9 months after you registered for not getting any advertisment in the post. It can go faster depending on how long before an register update you tell them to stop. You then no longer get any random junk tho if you are a member, have registered at a store aso then they might have the right to keep sending you letters, coupons, pampletts aso since you have an ongoing business relation... I know my Mother was upset for still getting alot of junk, advertising aso from some stores tho they where places she singed up with to get their "regular costumes benefits and special prices" We have he same system with companis calling and wanting to sell stuff, just register that they are not aloud to call you and they have to stop.😄

I know my Mother was upset for still getting alot of junk, advertising aso from some stores tho they where places she singed up with to get their "regular costumes benefits and special prices"
We have he same system with companis calling and wanting to sell stuff, just register that they are not aloud to call you and they have to stop.😄
Website you can get on to uninscribe to mail outs
Thanks so much for sharing that, dear friend, and for spending this time with me! I hope you have a great week!! ☃️♥️
Correction. The IRS will never call you. They send letters to your mailing address. Never give personal information to anyone on the phone.
True! We did get a call from them years ago but they have probably changed that by now which is could because that was SCARY!! Thanks for being here, Janice! I appreciate you!! 💐🥰
