@@Ulfsaark yes, evo 10. bigger turbo, e85. for these it's pretty straight forward to get 500whp, market is full of great parts that fit well and dont require any modifications. basically plug and play. I would be scared to turbo an rx8 haha😅

@@martinkeeling960why do you even want this car to have more than 232hp stock? It was meant for urvan driving, u never go above 60kmh in cities, on rare occasions 80, and urban driving/highway is 99% cruising, if you want more power just tune the damn car
@@user-sb5vt8iy5qi was driving 80-120 mph driving from Orlando to Tampa and back consistently when I had a chick in Tampa. When the piece of shit rotary actually decided to start, I enjoyed it. It's actually a quick mf car. It's when you're racing other sports cars and not regular cars where you realize, oh shit. I'm slow. What I loved the most about the rx8 was how I could take all those curves and turns without ever really having to hit the brakes.
I would ask for a minute long video but there's no way the Renesis will last that long.

@@davejnathan10 Just like most rotaries, the Renesis is not a normal engine. It did have a few significant teething issues, like a smaller exhaust port and fewer oil injectors. These issues made the car meet tightening emissions requirements, but also resulted in premature engine failure. So the engine would not get enough oil, an issue that was remedied by a computer update and fixed in later designs. The smaller exhaust meant carbon built up until something broke. Lots of RX-8s were being recalled, and engines were being hastily thrown together, leading to more breakdowns. Rotary engines can be reliable, but it takes involvement, modification, and expertise to get the most out of one.

Man i got a bigger fuel pump and the gauge barely moves when i do a pull
In older cars, based on acceleration the fuel gets pushed to the back side of the tank, causing the fuel gauge to think there's a lot less gas than there actually is. So technically no, he didn't go through that much gas lol

Everyone talking shit about the rx8, and how its slow. It's the best car in the world to drive on the street, and can be a track weapon in any layout. The RX8 isnt supposed to be like the rx7. I can actually take my family to the track day in my rx8 and drive it home after. Rx8 is so fun to drive. It's addicting

I owned a 05 rx8 it wasnt the fastest car but the sounds the car made when i would gas it made the experience much more fun especially in the canyons on high gear

Well I have a stage 1 rx8 and I beat a 260bhp vw gti. Don't forget that it has 230bhp from factory. It won't do crazy times in a drag race but it's decent 👌

Someone pushed an engine to 23k RPM once but the transmission doesn’t like handling high revs. After adding power my buddy revs it to 10k when racing

For me its not about the acceleration speed tbh, i mean for practicality reasons i drive a Shitroen family car with 170hp and that probably wouldn’t do that much slower, but goddamn the sounds the rx8 produces are insane, also the cornering is obviously miles better lmao. But the point being, if im going to buy a car for personal enjoyment, i wanna enjoy it, not break the sound barrier, and the rx8 is a great and affordable way of achieving that.
