I agree. The things you have to do in both fields of action are different. Beatmania is lining up lines with keys. You need agility, reflexes and preciseness. To play an instrument in any type of ensemble, you need teamwork, reflexes and finess.... oh and knowing how to count beats properly xD Seriously, if you dont' believe me look at tchaikovsky's sernade for strings.... death to string players

Wow you guys must be young this debut in 97 guys...come on, there IS NO comparison, I remember playing this in 98-99 and was a addicting game and still is, it's quite obvious todays games like Guitar Hero and Rockband DO NOT par up to old school Japanese games such as Beatmania, this puts GH and RB and any other Rhythm based Video game out there.
This is nevertheless a tough piece to even get over 90%. There may be better players out there, but I think we should refrain from discouraging comments unless the person making such comments him/herself can do better.
TTFaF is 7 minutes long and has over 4000 notes the hardest beatmania song has 2000 notes in 2 minutes, with a section that has over 19 notes per second.
I don't play guitar hero because I don't like a lot of the music. In reality I'm more of a DDR/ITG/Stepmania guy anyways but I love IIDX's song selection, it's the driving force behind a lot of Bemani's music.

I remember going to the arcade and not understanding how anyone could be that good at this game. Just go home and learn how to play real piano at that point... lol
The next Guitar Hero's going to be even harder...the Dragonforce song alone has over 3000 notes. And if Guitar Hero is so easy, how come nobody who's mastered Beatmania has come in and gotten 100% on Jordan on expert? Because it's just as hard as this. I agree; this game is harder than Guitar Hero. But if I'm going to play a rhythm game, I'd rather have to listen to rock and roll while I play it, rather than this techno garbage.
