Used to have a BMW 1200RT, now ride a 1200GS and picking up the 2022 R1250R… she should look at a K1600B or the R18… the Rocket 3 would also be an amazing option for her. The Harley machines are not my 1st choice either… The Trophy is a nice bike ..
The sound system they had installed in the shop was totally amazing it’s perfect for people who don’t want a big massive road glide. They were playing rush 2112 in the shop on 2 ST bikes at either end of the dealership and I was very impressed I even sat down in the coffee shop in the store and chilled out with on of the sales guys.
Any decision will ultimately come down to personal preference. One of the reasons there are more than one model of bike. Get the one that makes you happy.
I love the statement that this is a perfect in between bike. I have a ultra Limited, which I LOVE. But having something a little more sporty for around town riding would be cool. I really appreciate HD effort in innovating the brand all while keeping the classics. The MoCo future is bright!
I have a 2019 Street Glide. I also have a 2019 Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe. ones for fun ones for crushing miles. Love my Cafe in the twisties. My bagger ait to bad with the Legends suspension but near as fun as the Cafe.
You went from a CVO Road Glide to LRST? I just turned 62 and buying a Harley. I have not ridden since I sold my Street Glide 17 years ago and the LRST looks like perfect size bike for day cruises as I am NOT a touring guy.
Nice bike but… keep Appa…. You will be much happier. More storage space, better at cutting the wind, it has a sound system, and you look so damn good on the Roadglide!
I was surprised hearing you talk about the suspension and wind deflection vs your glide being very competitive. However I do like my rk for being able to drop the windshield for casual rides.
I really like the exhaust sound level. it's not super loud like a lot of Harleys. I like the sound a Harley makes, but I HATE wearing ear plugs. That's a great looking bike! thanks for the quick review.
Nice job on this video, for certain, Jess!! I love that you, Brandon and Blockhead all expressed the same feelings about the bikes. Well done by all of you!!! Well done Harley!!!
i'm not a fan that much of the fairing as far as it looks, but like that they are putting some more sport behind some of their bikes. I'm a fan of the ST lineup.
Again I’ve said it before. I’m so envious that you get to go on these press rides. I can’t wait till I’m at a point in my you tube channel that I can do stuff like this. Another amazing video and I’m looking forward to the press ride!!!
Yeah but Jess, the Low Rider ST is NOT a touring frame. HD Dropped the Dyna Line ( :-( ) and replaced them with the Softails, So the Low Rider ST is more like your Super Glide than your Appa. The Road King has the same chassis as your Road Glide, just Appa has more bells and whistles than an RK has. I know how much you LOVE your Dyna, but who could blame you if you upgraded to a Low Rider ST? I certainly wouldn't. But I know you would really struggle with that decision! And I'm like you, as I'm super attached to my Road King Classic and would never consider "selling" it. I'm 68 now and want my Son to have it when I'm gone. He's helping me to upgrade the engine and suspension on it. But I know he doesn't love it like I do. I'm just hopin' that when I'm done with it, (and I'm planning on upgrading EVERYTHNG$$) he'll dig it as much as I do. Fingers crossed :-D. I hope for you that you will prosper enough to be able to afford a garage/shop where you and Jordan can have lots of bikes and that you can keep you Dyna forever, thumbs up!
Thank you for taking me and all the other people along for the ride . You brought back memories of the years when I was riding the state of Calif. I grew up here. Glad you like it. I now live in Rio Vista, Calif. right on the sacramento river. This looks like a bike that could interest me. I'm 5ft tall and 900 lbs does not intimadate me. Again thanks.
I’m glad to hear how well the fairing functioned. I’ve sold my Road Glide, my favorite bike of all time, it was getting to heavy for me. My new Low Rider should be here any day. I’m stoked. Thanks again for the great review. Best I’ve seen on the bike on u tube!
I have the ‘21 FXLRS. I’d love to turn it into an ST. It’s a shame they changed the front end of the bike between last year and this year. Now, I have to do it custom. But, I still want to do it. It’s just a pain in the ass trying to find the fairing.
Nice video and very impressive new bike. This is definitely a winner. BTW, the Ultra you carried into your hotel is cool too! No shame in a low carb beer! Ride safe Jess!
Great memories. Used to ride my brand new ‘81 Goldwing all around that area (Santa Barbara, Ojai, Filmoore etc.) back when we lived in CA. The beach, where the palm trees are, hosted monthly Sunday morning art and craft shows along the sidewalk. Listened to Keith Jarrett perform live at the Santa Barbara High School. Okay, so that didn’t have anything to do with the bike. Um, I don’t like the saddlebags that much. They’re similar to the Goldwing bags in that I have to be careful stuff doesn’t fall out when opening/closing them. Top loading bags are better for that. Else the bike seems terrific.
Jess Thank you for sharing your time on the wharf. As a kid I lived in SB. I spent many hours swimming and fishing under that wharf. That was in 1971ish. I think I need to ride back out there one more time as a bucket list event. I’m 62 now so it would be an adventure for sure.
Interesting that on the 2022 LowRider S they did away with twin dials on tank in favour for single round dial on bars. Yet on the LowRider ST they’ve gone with LCD handlebar clamp dash from the Streetbob.
The Lowrider ST is quite a bit lighter than your Road Glide. How does the ride compare between the two bikes. Would it make a difference on a longer ride?
I have the first version of this bike the Sport Glide. Put on the same longer rear shock and 15” vented Gustafson windshield & lowers making it very comparable to the LRST. In fact with SE-498 cam S&S Streetmaster exhaust and 116 HP it’s an even more exhilarating ride. To your theory I’ve put on 31k miles in 2.5 years. It’s been Ohio to Sturgis and Ohio to Key West. Has even rode southern Cali & the 101. Makes a fine solo tour bike. So for taller riders. They will want the optional taller windshield and something like the tallboy seat that moves the rider up & back a bit. If you are not opposed to forward controls you have a riding trio of feet bars & butt plus windshield that makes for a comfortable ride for the taller rider. (I’m 6’4 with 36” inseam) Get the awesome optional stereo as well. 👍. Now jeezip Harley give us another color or two.
Im from the area. Upset you guys wasted a meal eating on the pier there is such good food to be had in the city. Thanks for the review of the bike currently riding a 2021 Sport Glide and thinking of changing over to this.
Thanks for the great quick review!! I'm still struggling, trying to decide between the Road Glide Special or ST. Of course right now in my area there are neither available. :(
Yea it’s a hard decision.. I made the D and picking up my new baby tomorrow. Ordered it in February and only arrived in New Zealand this week. Best of luck with your choice🤜💥🤛
i just got a 22 lowrider S, and I love it, I decided against any type of big fairing for it, gonna go with just a windscreen for now and get leather pro bags, if you woulda had the leather pro's you coulda got 2 of those 12pks in there lol and your right the suspension is wonderful....i just did my bars this past weekend myself, super easy and even more comfort Sláinte!
keep the Road Glide Special and buy the Lowrider ST as a second bike , that is what I did I have the 2020 Road Glide Special w/131 kit and the 2020 Lowrider S w/ 4Stage 117 in it. also has the RWD fairing installed on it. LOVE THEM BOTH
What is the suspension travel? The dry weight? Tire and engine size? What Tech is or not on this bike? Here are a few things you may cover on your press ride.
I’m lovin’ that bike too. I’ve been in the market for a nice Harley, but I wasn’t quite sold on the Sport Glide. This looks like a much nicer bike. I’m going to go check it out at my local Harley dealership. I’ll probably end up spending a chunk of change.
Loved the video! I picked one up a few weeks ago and your thoughts basically mirror mine for the 450mi I've ridden it. Here's a weird question that you may be able to answer since you're seeing multiple ST's up close: Are the handlebars crooked? Mine certainly are and several others who I've talked to have noticed this on theirs.
This is one of my most favorite videos. Great job!!! You're a natural. Very clean. Has a little bit of everything and as a special bonus...my boys Block and Brandon give their feedback on this bike too. Thank you for being real and keep on keepin on!! Can't wait for the next one. 😊✌️👍
I haven't checked in for a while, another fun video. I thought it was cool that Tanner gave you a shoutout on his last video (Adventure Daily Channel). I have been following both of you for a while, central OH local family here. CA is a great place to ride. If you can go north, look up Alice's Restaurant in the Santa Cruz mountains. I was stationed in Monterey and rode all over the Central Coast in the Nineties. Is the wheelbase setup for handling the twists and turns more aggressively than most Harley's?
The real question is does the fairing and bags make up for the extra cost over the lowrider s, im looking at potentially buying a lowrider s next year and i just dont think i can justify the difference will be interesting to see what they will eventually sell the fairing for as an individual part.
I could be wrong, but I believe the Lowrider ST has different suspension than the Lowrider S. This was to compensate for the Mounted Fairing if memory serves right. So that could also come into play for the price difference.
Matt Laidlaw has done many bag and fairing installs on bikes over the years. He said adding a quality color matched fairing and hard bags is not cheep. If I remember it was over $4k.
This motorcycle is newer than your Dyna. I keep my old stuff and love new stuff but when I'm closer to finish paying it off or is paid off. I would love it and enjoy it till the wheels fall off and trade it in when it's costing me more than it's worth. FYI, relationships are the same.
Going to have to go into a dealership to have a look at one of these bikes . The inner fairing looks very empty I am hoping they have finished it off inside . From the outside the bike looks stunning and I will take your word that it rides well I have a feeling that the bike won’t hang around in dealerships for long.
I love the comparo brand model me as a Kawasaki lover i change my ride to a Kawasaki nomad 1700 to a Kawasaki Concours and i can say wow that Concours is beast for the power its deliver compare to my Nomad 1700cc right out of the box with is 158hp no upgrade needed no stage pricey upgrade.Perfect to cross contry so comfortable so fast nothing beat a inline four cylinders. But everyone as is favorite brand ride what you like we are all bikers enjoying what we love RIDING.
Wow..favorite Harley are some strong words! But great pre review there w those two chiming in as well..I got the 21 lrs and I’m coming around to this bike..
I was putting $$$ on the table before the live press release even ended, back on 1/26. I got the gunship grey and I totally love the bike. I couldn’t wait for you n Blockhead to review it.
I got to see a Lowrider ST, RoadGlide ST and the Nightster all side by side today. Wow! Hopefully get to test ride them tomorrow. The PDI wasn’t done yet today. :(
Maybe I'm missing something here, but where are any gauges? Speedo, tach? Indian's drop of the new chief last season came out with new 4" ride command, nav, speed , weather tach and lil bike info... HD didn't put any gauge's or mini info center? Great video and opinion on the bike!✌️
I say learn to be happy with what you have to be happy with. It's cool that you get to really get a to know the bikes you are trying out. I would be so happy with any of the bikes you have. My bike is old school and don't get me wrong I really love it but it's got drum brakes in the rear and lets just say suggest stopping. Every time I test ride a new Harley I start trying to convince myself that my wife would be ok because it's safer but I hate getting hit in the head with that frying pan of hers. Great video.
If I had enough money I’d get the sportster s along with my st . I currently own the st but I had a sportster s before that and wish I could’ve kept it for bumping around town it was a killer bike as well!
Cool bike 👍 welcome back to Cali beautiful riding weather these spring months. Yah by the end of the video the bike started to grow on me. Have fun Jess and nothing wrong with some Ultras after a day of riding 🍻
I like the fairing on the Low Rider ST, I like those FXR style fairings even looked for one for Road King. Do think I definitely have take hard look at this bike if I was in market for Softail.
Right now, this is my favorite Harley with 117, and an actual rear suspension at over 4 inches of travel and I would add the sound system. Can't find one in the Dayton area to even look at, damn supply chain. Wish I could put that fairing or aftermarket similar one on my Kingpin.
Road King? To compare to? Aehm ... ok, then. 😄 good that you have a second chance to correct that little glitch 😉 I wish you would have said a word about visibility of the gauge, with different sun conditions. Any feedback about the inverted front end performance?
I love those bikes ,but I would not sell my 2020 road glide limited for it , I would like to have one of these too for close to home bombing around twisties up in the calif mountains day tripping .
Jess, little group rides aren't so bad when you're in front. Am I right? I am curious though if you had to choose between this ST, and say a Street Glide (and you still got to keep Appa and your Dyna), which would you choose?
few questions for you if you don't mind! How does the weight of the st feel compared to the road glide? how is it in stop and go and how do you like the tiny little screen. I do feel like I would miss my big speedo.
I certainly don't have the experience, you do Jess, on these type of bikes. The fairings always bothered me for two reason. The weight I perceived on the forks and vision impairment. I may be somewhat uninitiated in the world of wind fatigue, and determined to buck that notion at this time by getting a ride without that protection so maybe I'll change my mind at some point. BTW, is there any rationale or deciding point for manufacturers to decide whether to mount the fairing to the frame or forks? The weight of the added features maybe? Anyway, I would love opportunities like this to try the other worlds in motorcycling. Plus, Santa Barbara is pretty nice. I haven't been there in a long time. If you can, I'd recommend taking a tour of the coast.

As a Triumph Trophy SE rider, I am not a big Harley person...but it all comes down to the bike that fits you the best.
Used to have a BMW 1200RT, now ride a 1200GS and picking up the 2022 R1250R… she should look at a K1600B or the R18… the Rocket 3 would also be an amazing option for her. The Harley machines are not my 1st choice either… The Trophy is a nice bike ..

I went from a 2018 Road King to the ST and loving it. Both great bikes but once you get the ST set up the way you want it it is awesome.
If it replaced either of your bikes it would be the Dyna. They have much more in common and would actually be an upgrade. imo
Glad you got to ride one. I’m already over 1,000 miles on mine. Came down from a CVO Street Glide and don’t regret it at all.

As far as Harleys go, this one is quickly becoming my favorite. Great video Jess, looking forward to more of your insight on this model.
I just ordered one last Thursday in gray. I can't wait!
HI Hope your all doing well WELCOME SPRING
I really don’t like mid controls. I prefer the forward controls.
Just picked up my 2004 road king this morning!! What a nice ride!
I’m glad to hear how well the fairing functioned. I’ve sold my Road Glide, my favorite bike of all time, it was getting to heavy for me. My new Low Rider should be here any day. I’m stoked. Thanks again for the great review. Best I’ve seen on the bike on u tube!

True, there’s now a neck pass thru to mount bracket.

Yep…it checks all the boxes for me
Looks like next spring for mine!
👍. Now jeezip Harley give us another color or two.

keep the Road Glide Special and buy the Lowrider ST as a second bike , that is what I did I have the 2020 Road Glide Special w/131 kit and the 2020 Lowrider S w/ 4Stage 117 in it. also has the RWD fairing installed on it. LOVE THEM BOTH

I have a 2021 sport glide I love it.
Great vid Jess. Crap now I'm interested in one over my street glide
I hope they change the instrument gauge, hard to see the led's during the day.
Nice!! This VS Sport Glide would be a great comparison!
Wow. I not seen such a good review in a long time. HD should be proud.
I like the looks of the st, but already have an electraglide and a switchback, if I could mount that fairing on my switchback, I'd be down for that
I like the fairing on the Low Rider ST, I like those FXR style fairings even looked for one for Road King. Do think I definitely have take hard look at this bike if I was in market for Softail.
I thought the Lowrider ST was a little cheaply built. I also didn't like the mid controls or the solo seat without rear pegs.
Right now, this is my favorite Harley with 117, and an actual rear suspension at over 4 inches of travel and I would add the sound system. Can't find one in the Dayton area to even look at, damn supply chain. Wish I could put that fairing or aftermarket similar one on my Kingpin.
Thanks for the video jess I enjoyed it keep it up
Another great ride ! Thanks for sharing , seems like Harley built a really nice sport tourer in the ST ! 😎👍
Can’t believe I just saw you pull in the front break on that dirt
My commute is 60 miles round trip, all freeway, which would you suggest? Low rider ST or Road glide
If I got one, I would definitely have to get the audio setup.
I liked your head eyes movements on the cornering
great vid. love these bikes, can't wait to see more content on them
HTW-Blockhead-Brandon Bicasso collab always enjoyable to watch!
Road King? To compare to? Aehm ... ok, then. 😄 good that you have a second chance to correct that little glitch 😉 I wish you would have said a word about visibility of the gauge, with different sun conditions. Any feedback about the inverted front end performance?
Is that little digi-gauge hard to see ?
Especially in the glare ?
Do u like the OG dyno gauges ?
I love those bikes ,but I would not sell my 2020 road glide limited for it , I would like to have one of these too for close to home bombing around twisties up in the calif mountains day tripping .
With a fixed fairing and one headlight, how is the lighting at night on corners? How does the light compare to road glide in corners at night?
Jess you need to buy the low rider st , it has your name all over it 👍
I've been waiting for this video. Nice review! I'm sold on wanting one. Now just need $$$ 🤪
How would you feel passing a huge truck on the highways?
I have a 2011 Ultra classic and I would love to have one of those Low Rider ST to run through the mountains with.
Gonna trash the dunlops and slip some metzler 888s on my Harley street glide to greatly improve its ride quality 👌
Jess, little group rides aren't so bad when you're in front. Am I right? I am curious though if you had to choose between this ST, and say a Street Glide (and you still got to keep Appa and your Dyna), which would you choose?
Thank you for the review, can’t wait to ride it 🤩🤩 regards, John from Australia
few questions for you if you don't mind!
Great video Jess. Love how you blurred Blockheads face while picking up beer. LOL
Nice bike thanks for sharing the ride enjoyed watching take care ride safe
Hi, I'm your follower. My English is from the translation app. I know you're on another level, but I'd like everything you use and how you spread it to have video and voice from your helmet. I'm an elne rider and I'm learning. I want you to know that I liked it. your channel
Hi Jess, Road King doesn’t bring a fairing, you meant Electra Glide base? 👋👋👋👋waving at you from Caribbean.
Didn’t like my street glide much, this was much more pleasant to ride.
I rode the lowrider s and loved it. I might trade in the sportster s for that bike. What do you think you could pile on it? Camping wise!
How does the new Low Rider compare to your Dyna. I have a 2004 Low Rider.
