Reminds me a lot of the older Continuum versions from around 7 years ago. Very high contrast between darks and lights, heavy light shafts and volumetric lighting. Haven't been a fan of their newer stuff since it doesn't come out of the box looking a certain way, you have to mess with settings for days, and can never get it to look like it used to. Absolutely trying this one.
Should have taken some footage from ancient city as well. The blue light from the soul lantern really gives off this really nice creepy atmosphere to the city which fits so well with the gloomy structure.
Almost touching the bedrock rtx,not fully offcourse. But wish it will run its own development because it gives less performance and so visual lags.so.......
This video brought me so much joy and happiness... This is probably the best shader ever. I'm going to sleep now, with this being the last video before I get into bed. Everyone, I wish you good things in life. Have a good day.
im so jealous you can play this shader at such a smooth fps. I just bought a 6650 xt and i can get like 40 on medium settings but it still chunks sometimes
@@frozby5973 you should make sure you are running minecraft on your GPU. I had the same issue running Rethinking Voxels while also playing a 300+ modpack and when I switched the game to run on my GPU it started running like butter. I also have an RTX 3070.
For some reason whenever I use the shader it has really glitchy shadows. I’m not sure how to fix it, but the entire shader looks so much better in this video than it has for me!
i copy pasted this from the modrinth page The lighting system is not perfect. Occasional sudden brightness changes are a side-effect of the way it works and cannot be completely removed without hurting performance or removing sharp shadows from light sources. To do the latter, disable Advanced Light Propagation in the Voxelisation Settings
ok coming from somone who regularly uses this shader EXPECT BUGS AND GLITCHES. also if you really want good visuals and some settings causing high fps drop. also expect some breath taking volumetrics they nailed the volumetrics with lights. also this is probably the most vanilla feeling shader. i would recommend at least once crank up the fog settings. also i wish this is what rtx builds would be like with sharp shadows
These visuals look more amazing than big budget "realistic" triple A games tbh, ray tracing is actually pretty useless for other games because it makes only slight improvement but in minecraft is a whole different story.
I don't know why there is all fuss about this shader. Don't get me wrong, It obviously looks really good, but I think Sues PTGI Hrr3 would look slightly better. I think the main thing about this is that it is voxel based lighting or whatever which I don't actually know.
SEUS PTGI HRR3 looks good for screenshots, but I don't like how it looks in normal gameplay, I'd rather use something like Soft Voxels or Rethinking Voxels.
its much much more performant than PTGI and in my opinion it looks better and is much more enjoyable for gameplay (exept its pretty glitchy but its in beta rn and the developemant is very fast)
@@Unknownbruhh Well, this is the exact opposite for me HRR3 runs at 30ish fps on 1440p with my GTX 1060 but Rethinking Voxel get 10 to 15fps with the same settings and same resolution
i know skyrim's music is super popular, but its really underrated. in my opinion, growing up with elder scrolls games, its better than minecraft's and any other game i've played. they only game that has come close to a soundtrack as good as skyrim was cyberpunk.
When I use rethinking vocals, caves sort of glitch the lighting from the surface and looks like a bad trip mixed with a fancy light show does anyone know how to fix that
this can be fixed in the settings, in particular check the setting specific to Cave Light Bleed and the Length of Volumetric Light rays. Also, in future versions hopefully this will be improved further without hurting performance too much.
@@aspensmusicandrestoration There has to be a problem, does you have the screen plugged in the motherboard? it could be that you are using integrated graphics, or maybe some software problem or just a bad cpu
Minecraft, beautiful shaders, amazing scenery, calming C418 music, no lag, no fps drop, smooth, 60 fps and 4k. This is heaven.
Ye, so true
A RTX 4090 is around $ 2,000 USD.
yes but this is skyrim music by Jeremy Soule
Really hard to settle for 60fps once you've experienced 144+
@@sanne3704 I think your talking about refresh rate, not FPS. 60 FPS still looks better at 144hz+ than at 60hz.
The directional lighting in this shader is just unmatched, when its finished, itll be by far the best shader imo
But it's dark af
@@WitherSweat yeah for some people maybe but i personally like it alot, feels more realistic

beautiful shader

It looks good but man, even with glass walls, the inside of houses still look like daynight, in the middle of the day. Other than that, sick shader.

that the rtx 4090 can handle this
