Epic day , U2 fish well together. Pike are not the best fighting fish but they are ruthless when they strike . Sometimes we fish them with frog patterns through the Lilly pads and it’s scary when they hit the frogs 🐸 it’s an explosion. Thanks for the video.
I can imagine bro how you felt when hooked that big mama, I had 9.5kg pike from river last month and I was ower the moon 💪🎣👌 well done guys amazing video as always!💪
Sho! That's epic! Can only wish I got that kind of action when pike fishing. That said, I've just got my trout setup which doesn't do too well with the larger flies... That's the excuse anyway :D
Alright Robert! That was awesome! What a beast. Loving your vids and the cool places you get to fish for pike. They can be such aggressive predators with no fear. Nice timing switching rods with Mads! Mads has an unusual stripping basket. Did he make that?
Hi, nice Video. Does a 10 rod make a big difference compared to a 9 rod? So far I have been fishing several 9 rods. Fly size 15-25cm without extra weight or wiggle tail. Material is mostly flash, head with dubbing and for more volume a body with a bucktail. Medium to large natural lakes 2800 hectares. Is it worth buying a 10 rod if you already have several 9? Greetings Olli
If you already have several rods I don't think it is necessary to have a ten weight. But if you are looking at getting an additional rod it might be nice to have one that has more strength than the others.
Hey Robert. Been watching fly fishing content for a little bit on RUclips, and found your channel trough FlyTV. I really want to convert my spin fishing to fly fishing, but Im not really sure what type of reel, rod and line to get. I mostly fish for trout on the open coasts and shallow fjords here in Denmark.
I would suggest a medium fast / fast rod between line weight 5 -7 depending on fish size, wind and flysize. A 7 weight could be used for small Pike and Sea bass also if you don’t threw streamers in the size of fried chicken...
@@Martin.W.F 6wt is more an allround rod, in freshwater you could use it for streamers, nymph rigs or dry flys. 7 weight is the lightest "heavy" rodsize capabel of dealing better with headwind and bigger/more air resitant / heavier Streamerpatterns.
Robert its time to go to Fly vs Jerk I bet you win it.
I'm flattered about the likes of this comment. I'm just as happy to do videos on my own channel but I wouldn't say no.
@@FlyFishingbyRobert come on Robert, you and Bauer are super Team. Tell me I am wrong.

Thanks! It is the ahrex flexistripper 👌
@@FlyFishingbyRobert That is a cool stripper .... looks much more effective/smoother than a basket?
Vilken ledare ska man använda, och gäddledning för 6# rod? tack!

Don't want to bother with Pike, I'm all Salmon, Trout, Sea trout. Pike is nothing but a scavenger.
There are 12 months a year, only 3 to fish salmon. Good fun to fish pike also spring and autumn. But your loss😂🎣👍
Each to their own...😂😂😂😂😂what does a scavenger have to do with it??
