You have the patience of Saints when it comes to the previous owners.
Wow, they dug up the flowers too? So, they leave all of their belongings in and around your home for months, and they come back finally just to dig up the flowers? I don't even know what to say about that level of pettiness. Here in the US, there are somethings that convey with a property, and landscaped items should be among those things. But your house is looking SO gorgeous and it's really coming together. I absolutely LOVE the Tuscan vlogs, and I can't wait to see how it all comes out! 😊❤🏵

Yes and they took care of the tortoises for months for the former owners. They are totally rude basically stealing plants.
I hope that was their last trip! I mean really! When you sell a house you sell everything that went with the property!
UNBELIEVABLE! The fact that Carlo moved all of their stuff to one location is generous enough..... but then to come back (obviously without warning) collect the stuff and then TAKE MORE and DIG UP PLANTS!!! Grrrr...... (I hope you have their current details in case anything else goes missing.) I can't remember if you have changed the locks but I would be doing that pronto. People with that much sense of entitlement will stop at nothing, especially if they have seen how nice you are making the property. Perhaps some simple home security could be installed so that you can monitor the property when you are not living there and/or out for the day. At the very least, they owe YOU a lovely gift for looking after their things and being so gracious about it. I'm very sorry you had to endure this.
I just have to say that I would not allow the former owners back on your property to take whatever they want, unless that was in the sale contract, If not in contract then to bad for them. Hopefully the former owners don't come back and take your beautiful pots and plants and your kitchen is just beautiful and love how you white washed the walls looks so old world.
I had a neighbor who trespassed, killed some of my plants and cut the tops off others. They told their children they could come into my yard at night, and they walked on and killed my iris bed. 2 policemen and my insurance agent told me to post "No Trespassing" signs. I also built 2 fences and they've left me alone for the last 2 years!

I wasn't sure about this house with the previous owners being so sketchy, a troublesome sale and the overall look of the property in general but you and carlo have really pulled it together. that kitchen is amazing!

Holly The Helper! Such an adorable little girl, the real star of the show! So cute, always there with you, to give a kiss to Poppa, or take a nap next to the spot where the new kitchen is being setup. Literally climbing or going down 500 steps, climbing mountains on deadly dangerous narrow trails. Braving deer. squirrels, rabbits, wild boar, goats, sheep, donkeys, cats, Indie! In her relentless pursuit of the cuteness. I find it completely adorable and charming that you take your dogs almost everywhere with you. Dogs, any pets are so powerful in a couples relationship. They are pure happiness, and fill your home with their unconditional love and joy.

The new kitchen has completely changed your home. I love the washed effect of the paint Nikki. I believe the pink undertone from what Carlo did first added to the paint tones. So I will give kudos to Carlo as well for the paint.
Consider every "reclaimed" item yet another opportunity for you to be cleansed of Their memories and their imprint on the property. You have consistently shown your open generous characters. Something in their pasts has them stuck. The future is what you make of it. It is so wonderful to see how you have already made over the house and grounds to reflect your vision. Enjoy it.

I can’t believe the last owners are still showing up. Is there a time limit or is this open ended? I fear they will dig up the house eventually! I think we all figure they are doing you a favour, though. Tabula Rasa. Your vision full of warmth and hospitality! Shame about the one wisteria tree … but they grow quickly! Make a nice reading nook outside with hanging clusters of purple wisteria flowers. Divine! ❤

I can’t believe what the previous owners did, it beggars belief. If they have anything left in your shed I would tell them it’s all at the end of the driveway so they don’t have to come on your property again. On a different note your kitchen is absolutely gorgeous, the cabinets are superbly made, and the paintwork is spot on. ❤

Oh Nikki - I’m sure you were rightfully cranky when the old owners came to collect their items - in Australia anything fitted is considered part of the house and you can’t just take them - bless you for being so controlled in your recounting of their visit - I don’t think I would have so much self control. 😂😂 but onto happier things - the kitchen looks great and the pots are a triumph. The Tuscany sunset was so gorgeous and the church bells ringing nearby was so soulful. Love the wood tones of the custom kitchen cabinets and it is amazing how the wood goes well with the look of the fireplace stones. Great looking kitchen and great episode.💕

I agree with Nicki on the weird pepto bismol pink on wall, looks lovely now...Carlo is amazing at how much he does around the houses. Is that normal in Italy for families to come back after house sold and just dig up stuff???? The kitchen renovation was hard to visualize but now that it is done you see how well thought out it was. Your painting technique turned out beautifull and was crowned the " Norwegian smoked salmon" interior color and goes beautifully with your flooring. All the efforts made by Nikki and Carlo work very well together. What an amazing day for Nikki. A new kitchen means so much to those of us like to be in the kitchen. The refergerator placement was perfect for that type of open floor plan, every thing so well thought out. Many years of enjoyment is theirs with the best is yet to come.

Just watched again, as I wasn't too well, Sunday, and didn't take it all in. We love the kitchen,and everything you are doing, you were so right about the walls, well Don Nicki, love the way you both work, some disagreements are always gong to happen, but you both see the funny side too.

I just have to say again, i love every single thing about the kitchen/living room from the curtains to the beautifully crafted wooden kitchen, to the wall colour, island, chairs, rug and sofa.. It's an eclectic, modern but authentic living space. Stunning!!

Everything looks beautiful… and I have to tell you that even tho the previous owner dug up the Wisteria, you will probably find it growing again. Wisteria is very invasive and hard to completely remove. We bought a house with wisteria on a large trellis and while we were very busy renovating the house for 18 months, the Wisteria was having fun sending out shallow roots everywhere since the vines on the trellis was getting overgrown. Definitely install a strong trellis if you see it popping up. Glad you are having fun with your new house 🏡

I was shocked by the previous owners taking the kitchen sink, light bulbs, and finally moving out at night, BUT their coming back to dig up flowers/shrubs, so many months after selling the property and moving, just about finished me off!!!
This was a seller from the bowels of hell, I had no idea such people existed.

Just a suggestion. You will need a handrail for the stairs, as all stairs must have that. Carlo likes the handrail. Let him put it in place again, and then you buy beautiful curtains, for example white linen, and hang them as a dividing wall between the stairs and the room. (I guess you need four.) I think it will look great and cozy!

They can put a handrail in the wall for safety reasons, but the stairs look better without the big handrail.
Yes, I was thinking when Nicki's brother and father come to visit that they would need a handrail to get up the stairs.

Yes cameras hooked up to your phone. Some even have microphones where you can interact with the intruder and scare them off making them think someone is actually home.

Well that's one way of getting the pots you want. I can't believe the past owners came and helped themselves to your plants. You stored their junk, plus you baby sat their turtle for a couple of months and this is the thanks you get. Unbelievable, how some people go through life. Since the internet, people can't really hide from their bad behaviour. One just needs to look at the news to see what ugly, dirty people the elites are.
Anyway good job on your plant and container selection. They make the entrance to your home much more captivating. Your kitchen also rocks. I love the farmhouse vibe you are creating and your views on that hill are stunning as are the sunsets. I think you and Carlos bought a little gem in need of some TLC. Seeing the way the two of you work, you'll have that picture, postcard perfect in no time.

Nikki, I’ve noticed that you come across lately as taking Carlo for granted! When you didn’t approve of him taking the initiative for painting the back area of kitchen while you were in England, you could have been softer in your comments & been grateful & thanked him for his efforts & told him you would rather do a peach color. Even Carlo says in Italian that he didn’t even get a thank you for his efforts. Also, when he was gone to Positano, to use your own words, “you took the Executive decision” & removed the stair railing. Yet , even though he liked it , when he came back, he didn’t make an issue out of it. What you do to your home is your choice. I totally respect that. I’m simply one of your viewers that enjoys your videos, but I do take notice when you don’t appreciate your extraordinary husband.
MYOB. Married couples are often direct with each other, especially Italians.
May I add that it’s one thing to be direct & quite another to be thoughtless!
They are a cohabiting couple, not a married couple, and the house in Positano belongs to Carlo's family. Under Italian law, Nicki and Skye, from what I've read about Italian legislation, will probably be left roofless should anything happen to Carlo.
I suspect, from what she said about selling her flat in the UK to invest in a property in Italy, that the Tuscan house is probably hers. I hope it is, for her sake.
In any case, Nicki also worked very hard helping to renovate the Positano house. Did you analyse how much thanks she received for her contributions?

Love, love, love your new kitchen. That cabinet maker is excellent. I like that you added peach to the pink, it's looks fantastic. Now they finally took the tortious, but the plants too. Maybe those plants were given to them from someone special who may not be here any longer or something. You've turned me on to a bougainvillea person, they are lovely. Going to get a few for my house.
When Carlo draped the blooming plant over the tall pot, I thought it looked better than where you moved it to. Let Carlo make some of the decisions - he does have a good eye for decorating - look what he had done outside!
