I can't even draw in 2D, now you want to add an additional dimension for me to suck in?
Drawing in 3D is very different to 2D drawing. For example, you don't have to worry about perspective and so on.
+DelusionalLogic yup it's actually easier somehow to 'flat-sculpt' rather than to manage a perspective
+DelusionalLogic I'm really bad at drawing in 2d, but I find it much easier with Tilt Brush because I don't have to worry about lights/shadows and perspective.

since I was a child I dreamed of drawing on air and create my own worlds, this is simply a dream come true.
Edit: I got a quest and i'm using this app. It's magical..and I'm in love with it 🤗
not really everytime i play i fill up my room with drawings and near more space.. the vive's max play area is i think 3 meters by 2.5 meters so it's kinda small.. i had to buy 2 tripods since my room is large XD I hope they make like new base stations or something with larger maximum play area

As a Vive owner, I cannot describe how good this actually is.
I saw this video first on Facebook and the comments were flooded with idiots saying things like 'Bet it doesnt look like this' and 'Nice CGI video...'. They are totally ignorant fools.

Would you in your opinion say that the Vive is worth the investment? For a brand-new product with the vast majority of games being still in Beta, and very few full-fledged applications (this is one of the very small group), I am interested to know if you would recommend it, as an owner. So would you say it's worth it?
I used Tilt Brush for the first time today, it was freaking amazing. It really brings a whole new experience to art and I'm confident we will see more of this in the future.

+Basel Al Jishi Nop, chaperone is a grid that fades in when you are close to a wall, so you won't hit it.
+Basel Al Jishi The Vive used in this video shows you the limits of your physical space as a virtual grid if you get too close to them. Unless you decide to ignore the grid you can't hit a wall.

You set the chaperone yourself, I have never hit my wall, desk or anything outside of the boundaries (and I have played tilt brush for hours on end).

You just make sure there are not objects in the middle of your play area and then you draw the limits of your space.
I go to an art school, and last year, through a special connection that my art teacher had, the people in my class had an opportunity to audition for this ad. The girl in the striped sweater was in my class. She's a really good photographer too :-)

Man this stuff makes me so excited. Virtual reality is finally the big innovation in the way we use technology. For quite a while now we have been dealing with 2D devices only. Sure the devices get better, bigger and smarter but this is really a leap forward into (literally) another dimension. As an engineer I would love to work on such a technology. It's truly a great time to be alive.
I am going to come back in 20 years to read this.
AnArabGaming haha yea, who knows what we will have by that time. But what needs to happen first is for this technology to reduce in price significantly so it becomes available for more people and it has to get a larger support of nice games and applications like this

Our eyes can only see in two dimensions anyways. it's just that when our brains put the two 2d images each eye sees into one compound image that we can interpret as depth.

This could be such a useful tool for things like architecture, fashion design, making attractive designs for engineering projects, etc
I'm sure a lot of people will complain about sore arms (even before this came out, people criticized it for that,), but you just gotta push through it. Even new artists on paper sometimes get sore wrists, but they eventually get strong enough to be able to draw for hours. Same goes here, your arms will eventually become strong enough to be able to 3D paint for hours on end.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Our tax rates are not affected because Google, or anyone for that matter, doesn't pay tax. You pay the same rate regardless.
If you want to talk about tax dollar miss-allocation, then look at the bloated defense budget and subsidy grants paid to Big Oil and Big Pharma. That has a much great impact on taxes than Google not paying income tax. The 500 largest companies combined would be on the hook for 680 billion. Spread out over who knows how long, probably decades. If it was all paid tomorrow, it wouldn't cover how much America has paid in subsidies over the same time period.

Just rented an HTC Vive for 3 days and now I'm hooked. This is definitely the coolest technological thing I've ever experienced. You can't even describe the sensation to someone who hasn't tried it. Aghhh I miss it already.

I made a snowman in this. He has a scarf, a belt, a hat, some buttons, a sword on his belt, really cool arms, wizard robe, mega man blaster, muscular human arm, gun, wizard wand, sunglasses, lasers coming out of his eyes, a soda, a bow and arrow, and probably a lot more
very intuitive - such a great tool to allow artists to cross borders between art and technology.
I just bought the HTCVive moments ago and I can't wait for it to arrive so I can play this! I'm so glad this game comes with it so I don't have to spend an extra 25$ (even though I would still buy this in a heartbeat regardless)

This went open source and it is now sort of available for the Quest 2. It is amazing :) I am glad Google made the move.

Yes, you can save them as jpeg, animated gif, and i think some other type of gif....
I just got my Vive yesterday and played this, I'm seriously in awe....
You can also save them to load/continue and see every brush stroke happen in quick speed later.

@@dneail i built a good pc a year before i got the vive so i didnt see a reason not to. skyrim ended up being my favorite vr game anyways so i think the vive was overall the better choice

I looked at this video and thought, omg this would be so cool. My bf and I just got the Vive today and I tried tiltbrush, and cool doesn't even come close to how amazing this is. You're in a completely different world. It's just incredible.
I got to try this at school as they have a VR room where they teach students about VR and it was a very enjoyable experience
