Once there's full Linux support like hardware acceleration, usb, sounds, etc, most would probably switch to a Pixelbook or slate but I'm really impressed that Google doesn't forces them to use their own products. You can also find many iPhones in their campus and that's not at all a bad thing

My GPA sucks too, I dropped out from HS. A lot of people who work for Google also dropped out from HS according to that one website where you ask questions. (Not Yahoo)

Drove by there everyday in Palo Alto to take my father to medical treatments at Stanford and the VA hospital. The place looks SO awesome! I'm a Google person for EVERYTHING! If you enjoy doing something you will want to do it more and more, while you dont want to do something you are unhappy doing. I've just finished getting my masters degrees in Computer Science and Software Engineering, and I'm currently enrolled in an internship at google. They treat with such care it's like you're not even an intern. You're practically a new member of the google family. My first week was insanely cool and I love it here. Just kidding. I can't get a Masters Degree!

just the way they talked about their goals and projects seemed way too scripted. And why not? they have the money to do so. I have been participating in engineering internships through out the US and most of it is very similar. Not a magical fantasy these guys seem to believe it is. Its more down to earth.
I guess it's more a matter of what gets the job done. I heard a while back that they ditched Windows for the most part because of the security issues but other than that employees can choose which platform they use. It's about being productive.
Niosus I agree with you haha so many comments on this. It is all about what gets the Job done. Macs are good devices to use to get the job done WELL. Windows are so much more unlocked and I would say ditching them for security reasons sounds about right although they are still used obviously for development and personal preference by googlers. Chromebooks are also used aswell as their online development and production capabilities are extremely good so for them to be seen around is not un heard of.
I would guess Windows is also out because everyone has to collaborate, and the simple issue of CRLF for Windows versus LF for UNIX and UNIX-like operating systems is enough of a headache by itself. Also, Windows doesn't work perfectly with shares using NFS and other UNIX-originated technologies, and Flash drives formatted for ext4 are out.

Drove by there everyday in Palo Alto to take my father to medical treatments at Stanford and the VA hospital. The place looks SO awesome! I'm a Google person for EVERYTHING! Nothing else can do it, I love how xreative yet understandable it is for people like me at my age who are NOT so savvy in understanding some things that are moving so quick, tech wise. I guess it's more a matter of what gets the job done. I heard a while back that they ditched Windows for the most part because of the security issues but other than that employees can choose which platform they use. It's about being productive.
Niosus I agree with you haha so many comments on this. It is all about what gets the Job done. Macs are good devices to use to get the job done WELL. Windows are so much more unlocked and I would say ditching them for security reasons sounds about right although they are still used obviously for development and personal preference by googlers. Chromebooks are also used aswell as their online development and production capabilities are extremely good so for them to be seen around is not un heard of.

I would guess Windows is also out because everyone has to collaborate, and the simple issue of CRLF for Windows versus LF for UNIX and UNIX-like operating systems is enough of a headache by itself. Also, Windows doesn't work perfectly with shares using NFS and other UNIX-originated technologies, and Flash drives formatted for ext4 are out.
