Normally there is plastic sheet that covers the empty memory slot. Do we need to be peel it out to install memory or can it be left as it is with new memory installed beneath?
I'm glad that I saw this before ordering NVMe heatsink for my laptop... common DELL wtf i wish if it was 2280 I guess I will just order one for my desktop PC

There is no extra slot. If you want you can remove the original SSD and replace with new one
