- Properly caring for natural gas appliances helps to keep them operating safely and efficiently. Appliances should be inspected annually by a licensed, qualified professional or by SoCalGas. Appliance maintenance is always the homeowner's responsibility. However, SoCalGas will perform appliance safety checks upon request.
We have a two year old Williams heater that we had installed. I'd like to clean/wash out the fire box but we cannot get the cover off of the heater. I've tried lifting like we did with the previous Williams and it's like it's on there and the company won't come out
Without being paid and they installed it ! What do I do? Help somebody please
We have the most cold week in Texas two weeks a go and we never start this heater because just the pilot star correctly but never heat so for safety reason we turn off and leave our house, this is old house 1938 construction and the FIRE WOOD chimney don't work with the stone old house
I have the old Coleman the third to the left model number 0303, but we tried to start and just the pilot work, we need more information if you have service to inspect the heater in Texas. thanks
If you have a thermostat the thermostat may not be making a good connection. There’s ways to check Tstat wiring and the tstat itslef. Sometimes those old controls can stick also. If you have the pilot lit, and the control is set to on and the tstat is on and connections are good, sometimes a good tap on the control will allow the control to open correctly.
You probably need a flame sensor
Check your thermocouple.
How do you open the air flute
it's making a high pitch ring noise
Check your pilot and pilot assembly. If you notice distortion. Give it a few taps on the pilot tubing with the but end of a screw driver to see if the flame clears up. If you see any yellow flames contact the gas company immediately to assist you in correcting the issue.

Yeah, contact gas company so they will come& pull your gas meter. Gas company does not repair these issues, they simply will pull your meter & then you will need to get gas inspections to get your meter reinstalled. Call a licensed HVAC or plumber instead. Calling gas company would be the worst call you could make actually.
My match turned off immediately. Now what? Can i still have it on?
Negative sir that would mean the products of combustion aka carbon monoxide would be entering or spilling into your home causing a dangerous situation
These Heating contractor guys wont lift a finger unless you sign a contract for $2,800 then the lazy summagunns walk out to their trucks and get their little tool chests and little gadgets.
pg&e couldnt fix my heater
It's not PG&E's job to fix your heater, it's a heater repairman's job. PG&E can just tell you it's broken.
jose villa that’s why they went bankrupt
PGE guy came out to my place and just looked at me like I was from Mars and told me to call a heating contractor, PGE guy would not go any further than lighting a pilot light, called contractor and idiot told me $2,800 for a heater he gets for me, that means he pays $1,000 and keeps $1,800 freakin ripoff.
You "Pretended" to inspect the firebox, you never pulled the shroud, you inspected at most the bottom and top 6"
you can actually inspect the whole firebox the way he did it.
to really inspect firebox you must remove it you can not see cracks with mirror.
