Thank you for this video! This has helped me see that it is OK to just have the products in your portfolio you are obsessed with. Mine is fragrance and jewellery. I want to be the Queen of bottles & baubles! ❤😅 I’ll be curating my website today.

Love that!! The more passionate you are about what you’re shooting the more you’ll enjoy it. And the more you enjoy your business, the more money you’ll make ✨

Thank you for yet again a great video/lesson . My only question is how do you get on PR lists ? :)

      You’re so welcome!
You’ve got to send agencies an email to ask if you can get on a list. Obviously for PR they want something in return so make sure you communicate what value you can provide them if this is a route you’d like to go down.

Now that AI has become better and integrated into photoshop. Do you think that it would make sense for starting product photographer to approach the whole of product photography by using white background only and creating background and props using AI and build a business around that sort of model? If yes in general, but some props are still essential, what are those essential props that one should still get?

I definitely encourage you to explore AI and different ways to use it however, I wouldn’t rely on only creating photos using AI generated props and backgrounds. Learning the actual art of photography will help you remain competitive and isn’t to be neglected as a beginner photographer. When it comes to props, it really depends on what you’re shooting and the stories you want to tell in your images. I would start there ☺️

@@amandacampeanu Oh i have been photographing for 18 years, so photography itself is not new to me. I have taken product photos against white background, the type that are used in webshops. Its just this sort of using props to make advetisement/marketing type of product photos is quite new to me and im bit unsure how much to focus in developing skill of using actual props vs AI skills to build props and backgrounds before launching a product photography business. AI seems to be able to do pretty much the same thing, and it seems like incorporating AI in photoshop to some degree at least is the way to go nowadays. Like if its enough to either just use white background with some platform, or if i should get colored backgrounds and other props than just platforms. Do you think there is some downside of generating all or most props with AI, and if there are some must have props(like platforms) that are a must?

@@YrjoPuska777 I personally haven’t played with generating props in AI too much. I guess it depends on your vision and what you want to do creatively. Maybe some props are easier to generate in AI than others. I’d honestly focus on both. Photography isn’t going anywhere. And I wouldn’t be relying on AI to produce to product photos but rather enhance the creative possibilities.
