Don't stop making videos because of getting low views. Content you are producing on RUclips is nowhere available. You will rise one day. We budding product photographers needs these videos.
I think #3 is something A LOT of people don’t learn until there’s that one client that abuses your kindness. This is super important because it inputs boundaries so they don’t get too comfortable. This is a business and should treat it as such
Hi Amanda! Your content is amazing! Finding information on breaking into the commercial photography industry hasn’t been easy, so your videos are greatly appreciated. I have a question regarding building a portfolio. I’m struggling to get started with a portfolio to show to prospective clients without having any content to shoot. I’m guessing that I need to do mock-ups first, but I don’t think I can use products that I haven’t officially been hired to photograph. What do you suggest for that?
Thank you for another amazing video, and I wanted to know if your course only focuses on the beauty side of product photography or different areas in product photography?
Thank you so much for your amazing video. I had a question regarding photoshop course. What photoshop course do you recommend for someone who just started besides your course? I absolutely love your course and i want to get deeper in photoshop editing.
Hi Amanda Thank you so so much for creating these videos! They have been most helpful. I am very new to photography Until watching your videos I thought product photography was boring. You make these things do interesting? It would be most appreciated if you could talk more about noise in photography. About 12 of my photos were submitted to Shutter Stock. All of them came back too much noise. I'm having difficulty seeing what they see & unsure how to correct what they see that I don't. How do you spot noise? Thank you so so much for everything!!!🤔😊
Thanks so much for being here Tina! If there is a lot of noise in your photo, it could be your ISO if you’re pushing that too high. I usually keep my iso around 100-200 otherwise the higher you push it the more noise you introduce. You can reduce noise in editing but it’s best to try and deal with it in camera first 😊
Such an amazing video! The 5 tips were really really immensely helpful. Loving your content as always! ❤️ However, I had question regarding Contracts. Is it essential to have a lawyer make your contract or can I make a contract myself and give that to my client ? I might sound stupid, am sorry am totally new to the business part 🙈.
Definitely not silly at all! Personally I’ve never had a lawyer look over my contract however, we have received templates from other high level industry professionals that have helped us cover the more legal side to the contract. Other clauses we have added in ourselves due to experience and new situations we encounter. I would do a lot of research if you don’t have the budget to have a lawyer look over it. It can be quite costly. 🙂
Your videos are SO helpful Amanda. Please keep sharing your wealth of knowledge. Any advice for shooting menswear, gadgets and other client possibilities? I am a man wanting to shoot with brands but obviously I'm not knowledgeable about fashion/makeup or other popular women's brands. I feel like there's less options for men's brands but I know they're out there!
Thanks so much Wyatt! ☺️ There is definitely a hugeeee market for men’s brands as well! I would identify some brands you would love to work for and analyse the kind of content they’re using on their website and socials. Your goal is to then create the kind of work that would attract that brand and really build up the portfolio. 🙂
@@amandacampeanu thank you so so much!! Do you shoot for any non-clothing/fashion/self care brands? I’m just so curious what’s out there. I’d love to shoot for companies that make outdoor toys, bikes and skateboards, watches and travel tech, headphones and shoes, cars and toys, food and hotels, airlines. Your videos have inspired me and answered so many questions

Hi Livvy, For your initial portfolio, you can use products you already own or that you purchase.
Angela Ainsworth That’s what I was hoping I could do. Thank you for the input! 😊
You're amazing! Thank you for all you do you help me out a lot. I'm making big changes because of you. Hopefully I'll get to your level one day.
So glad to hear!! Just keep at it and focus on getting better every single day 😊

A lot of fitness and lifestyle brands shoot stuff outside. Is that a bad thing or reduce quality?
