Most of the evidence we have about her mothers abuse of her is her word alone. Nobody knows her mothers side because she’s conveniently dead. I think people forget that she was raised in a VERY highly dramatic environment with a mother who thrived on drama and publicity. I'm with @montyollie. I've followed this story for decades and there is no way someone can come out of what she lived through without having massive issues with right and wrong. Her whole childhood was lived for someone elses gain while she lost any sense of herself.

I am baffled by all of this I really am. She has gained fame by her mother's murder more than because of what her mother did to her. The public has made her the monster that she has now become. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Just sick and twisted this all is.

I do understand why she is dating around. I mean, she was locked up her whole life. She is experiencing childhood, her teenage years, freedom, and adulthood all at once. I mean, just going through one phase is difficult enough. Perhaps she is so "broken" that she doesn't even realize what she's doing? Maybe it's sort of like when teenagers act so weird, string people along, and don't truly understand the consequences? Perhaps 10 years from now, she will be a different person. I don't even think she understands what controlling means.

Guys, I'm not gonna fall for any Gypsy-is-low stuff. Just because she divorced the guy soon after marriage, doesn't mean she used him--or Ken--nor the divorce is her fault. We don't know the full story; we aren't in her personal life. Only people in my personal life know why I graduated high school at 20 and still live at home at 27. The key word here is "context." l'd be a hypocrite if I belittled that and assumed the worst in Gypsy based on looks

I think people forget that she was raised in a VERY highly dramatic environment with a mother who thrived on drama and publicity. I think Gypsy comes by these traits very honestly, and it's no wonder she's a drama queen. I have lost a lot of respect for her but I have to remember she was deprived of so much as a child, she's just not working with the same capacity we are. She'd doing the best she can with what she has.

I'm with @montyollie. I've followed this story for decades and there is no way someone can come out of what she lived through without having massive issues with right and wrong.
Her whole childhood was lived for someone elses gain while she lost any sense of herself.

It's no suprise they are over. Gypsy has been locked up all her life and decides to get married while in jail. The fantasy was better than the reality. I have no doubt that Ryan did try to stop her from doing things as he wanted all of her attention. However Gypsy is free for the first time in her life and doesn't want to be controlled and spend all her time with Ryan. Gypsy didnt think or know anything about the realities of a relationship, never mind a marriage and freedom all at one. Gypsy needs to slow down, and stop focusing on men like there her meal ticket and get a handle on her own life.. she needs to learn how to live independently, make friends, see a therapist regularly, go to college, and study something she has an interest in. Once Gypsy has found herself and is happy with her own life and has clarity on the past, then she could think about marriage.. its going to be a Gypsy train wreck if she keeps going down this self distract and taking anyone else who is about down with her.
