    Just used this guide to replace my Note 20 screen, now my phone looks brand new! Only stripped one screw which I carefully drilled out. Got all the parts for about $170, so almost half the cost of getting it repaired by someone. Thanks for the detailed guide!

    After you said, "unplug the screen". this video doesn't show how you unplugged the screen...And where is that part that shows how to install the new screen? A bit confused about that...

    I stripped 3 screws and drilled the heads off with a 1/16" drill bit which was potentially dangerous if I slipped. I also had 2 screw heads just snap off. I'd recommend getting a stripped screw extractor set if you're going to attempt this repair. They sell ones small enough on Amazon. You may also want to try applying heat to the screw areas to loosen the Loctite. It doesn't play nice. Also get a quality screw driver. Cross-head structure does matter, I started with a cheaper one and it cammed out a lot even with excessive pressure.

      @RealWorldReview agreed! Costs more than the phone or at least 90% of the phone's value.

    Thanks for showing me that samsung made screen replacement as difficult as possible and instead of getting a new one im going to get a Motorola for cheap because if it breaks i can just get another for 300$ instead of paying 1200$ for a phone that does the same stuff but is fragile af and costs 500$ to fix or 260$ and rocket science lol

    I'm Googling stripped screws on "note 20" and found this video. I see you reference using a Dremel to remove stripped screws. A video of that process to show what bit you use would be awesome! That's where I'm stuck. I ordered a bit set but not sure it'll work.

    • @jasonH5997
      @jasonH5997 2 года назад +1

      You probably already solved ur issue but the best way I've found to remove a stripped screw is to simply use a dremel with a small cutting wheel, you'll have to wear down the cutting wheel a bit to make it smaller. Then just cut a single slot across the top of the screw and use a flat head bit to remove screw

    • @SideOfRanch
      @SideOfRanch 2 года назад +1

      I ended up buying a Dremel wood carving kit and it easily shaved the heads of the stuck screws! All fixed and on it now

    • @RealWorldReview
      @RealWorldReview  2 года назад

      Yes, add pressure when removing but the screws can crack too. Strongest Blue Loctite I’ve seen lol

    • @therealnickewing
      @therealnickewing Месяц назад

      Yeah you should have definitely shown how you did whatever trick with the dremel. That's the only concern before I do this. I do this stuff with cars/equipment all day but smaller scale.. what's the trick man?

  • @Vmaxfodder
    @Vmaxfodder 2 года назад +1

    Be very careful not to go too deep ! Just a 1/4-1/8 in. Or less. You could slice the 5G antenna or digitizer ribbon. The screws are locked in very heavy

    • @RealWorldReview
      @RealWorldReview  6 месяцев назад +1

      With the pick or blade between the back and metal frame. Just need to cut the adhesive, nothing more.

      These pho es are simply manufactured in such a way that the glass cannot be removed from the digitizer and main body . It used to be that the glass alone could be replaced , but not with these newer designs
