The Meteor has a more nicely balanced frequency response than your Chinese mic, but picked up a great deal more room noise (possibly a less directional polar pattern, as well as extended low frequency response) - for recording speech in a less than ideal acoustic environment, the Chinese mic probably does a better job, even if it does sound a bit odd & unnatural.
