TBC and Classic as a whole is Essentially a Victory Lap, where you drink some box wine and clear easy content with the other dads 2 times a week, devote some extra time to a few sweaty things like world buffs for abit of extra fun when playing your character.
Been watching pro League of Legends since season 1. Zirene wasn't my favorite caster, but after hearing this man talk on this podcast he has became one of my favorite people to listen to. His thought process and outlook on most subjects (social issues, game development theory, business model) often have me viewing things in a different light.
What I Would have change before TBC: Fresh server, BOT, BOOST/Cashshop/improve chat/Real money buying/ Not transferring PvP honor or BG Badge's/Duo spec/Fix faction balance by blocking creation beyond 45-55%/ Fix Race's passive skill/ Multi-team available for arena. Probably a lot of other thing but this is what I got for thinking about 5 fucking seconds. What Blizzard did right: Paladin seals and that is pretty much it. Nice job Blizzard.
Funny enough, we do have 3 rogues but only 1 shaman in our raid team XD. We only rotate them with ranged dps on KT and Vashj to actually get the kill while doing rest of the raid with all 3 in the group. All of them are old friends of us from vanilla and they are all good players so we can't really drop any of them.
Pretty sure they limited server transfer hopping because people would just chain transfer to smaller servers for Server First Achievements/PvP rankings.
I love the idea of "putting devs on the front lines" like how Riot does. You made it, you own up to it. It's pretty easy to test your job security when the players dislike what you're making, so stop making garbage. 1:35:27 That's literally what the WoW devs do. They circle jerk each other on Twitter talking about how good everything is/will be next patch. If you want to take credit, then take responsibility too.
This will be interesting to hear Sno and Zirene's take on blizzard's recent blue posts concerning upcoming nerfs to T5 content. The patch was slated for release less than 24 hours from Blizzard's announcement, and then Blizzard immediately retracted their statement and said they would hold off and reconsider. This means one of three things happened. 1. Blizzard listened to feedback and reversed their decision in less than 2 hours (highly unlikely considering their track record) 2. Blizzard realized there was a bug or problem with that patch which forced them to change their plans. 3. Blizzard intentionally announced something which they never planned on actually releasing. (attempt at a PR win?) None of the options are good: If they acted on option #1, they admit that they have no idea what their player base wants. If they acted on option #2, they admit incompetence in testing their product and internal communication. If they acted on option #3, they admit malicious intent to mislead their players Someone please prove me wrong.
A different version of #1 a senior member who has the power to enact such a change essentially set this to be deployed with very little envolvement from other members in the team, I dont think they listened to the forums, it was the twitter backlash that probably got there attention to halt this (i dont really use twitter so when someone told me to check i was surprised to see how vocal). or #3 which they will never admit too, away for them to test the player sentiment so they know going forward. Classic playerbase (the people who still remain) is fairly different from retail and other MMO, WoW in general has one of the oldest gaming pop's and Classic is very much a dad gamers game not in jest but in truth. not alot of free time but alot of disposable income and will be ok with failing if they dont beat vashj/KT in time. I dont even know of a typical 16-24 year old guild on my server, pretty much all are 35+ with 1-3 kids and its husband and wife tandems or husband and child duo's.
It's so funny for me to hear this rogue doom and gloom. Back in my day (old man voice) rogues were considered top dps and we took 3-4 for pushing world 1sts. As a former rogue main in tbc, this makes TBCC kinda sad for me. How the mighty have fallen :(
could you ask him where he did manage to find players? xD i been looking for a Feral Tank for 2 months now to replace our situational feral tank that wants to go Resto.
@@zeroresistance7203 We are on Atiesh Ally so the players pool is quite large, however we require full consumes and bis enchants/gems, etc. which filters out the bad. His trick it to constantly be posting around on discords/forums/trade, especially after/before raid night, then he does a formal interview and our trial period is 6 weeks. We have been 10/10 for a while so that helps a ton. Doing pug raids and running Heroics can also be a good place to recruit
@@SuperMo15 6 week trial period? been clearing t5 10/10 since week 1 and our trial period is 2 weeks, also 20 of the 25 players are the same from the start.
Warlock is objectively stronger than hunter btw. higher in parses on every boss & complete raid on average as well as record dps. So literally better 100% of the time. You said hunter was better which is probably because you used fire locks
I love sno, zirene talks alot but i wouldnt have anyone else on that community council over those 2 guys. Hopefully they do the right thing and select both of them for council
I think the longevity of season of Mastery will be fine because it's only one year. I was chasing loot over a two year span it's going to be even worse this time. How many times did we run AQ for death sting sno? Half a damn year and it still didn't drop lol.
Dont mind paying for? I HATE that cost, its stupid, ruins the game and makes it worse. And the cost is super high for something that is an automated database-job. Its just stupid
Exactly! My guild has been talking of transferring, but half the guild has multiple alts and having to pay for each character is just stupid. If you could pay to transfer as many characters from one server to another, for just one fee, that would be an easier pill to swallow. Half our guild wants to transfer and the other half which has a ton of alts, is against it, and it just sucks.
Why try to figure out who gets the biggest single target dps gain from glaives when cleave and trash damage is a large part of speed clears and raids overall.
@@Baronnize sure, but the raw dps, rage gain, and set bonus haste proc will put weigh it. It’s similar to how some people are using lady V dagger in the OH atm with little difference between slower OHs.
tbc dead in water imo, hope to see yall in SoM hardcore scene. Legacy version's have finite content. Only thing that can keep it moving is Classic plus
