That's exactly how I feel. I wore makeup a couple times in my life and I realize, it's not a need for me. I rather embrace what I have and take care of it than using makeup, wearing makeup is a choice. And I feel like my body is a flower and I need to norish it, give it what it needs so it can show the beauty it holds.

I don't wear make up either, I rather spend my money on natural skincare ingredients,we are so much alike, I don't follow trends, I create my own, makeup clog your pores, and ages your skin, I will stick to my do it yourself natural products
I’m concerned about the cadmium, aluminum , lead etc .
I wear makeup now I’ve been doing it since November I like it because I am very artistic (I like to draw portraits with charcoal) I haven’t actually drawn in almost 2 years which sucks but makeup was another artistic push for me.

It sounds like you went through exactly what me and many other black girls went through. You basically stripped away the European beauty standards that you were taught to live by as well as other societal beauty standards. I'm at the same point in my life and trying to be as natural as possible but working on the inside will take more time lol

I'm 53 years old I just started wearing makeup last year and because of a damaged pituitary gland my body has never gone through puberty which means my face still looks like a little kid. ( No menstrual cycle, No breast, and No kids )
I don't hate it but I want to feel and look like a woman so I wear makeup. You don't need make-up you are beautiful I love that skin tone and you're just beautiful.

Don’t mind them honey, you are on the right path. If you make it to late 20s without it . You will be so mentally free. And will be able to see the control it has on others, you’ll be so grateful you don’t have to use it ... but only if you choose to.
I been religiously sticking to my routine inspired by your methods for almost 2 years now and my melanin skin is sooo soft, smooth and silky it's like glass! I cant wear it. My skin is super sensitive, so when I get comments like "use proactive" I'm like "tell your momma, cuz I'm allergic" lol!🤣💪💯
😂🙏 I used to get comments like that from "friends" back in 6th grade. The same people that told me to "just use baking soda and lemon" have worse skin than I do. Thank god I didn't listen.

I've been make-up free for a few years now. And am also on a natural hair care journey for some years now. I feel so free. And yes, I get many compliments how beautiful my skin is. I put a lot of natural ingredients in my hair and on my face. my skin is glowing and my hair is growing. And yes, I'm saving so much money now that I don't buy make-up anymore and I don't buy relaxers or curling irons anymore.
Olive oil on my skin has worked wonders! Makes it so glowy and full of life! If you’re someone who uses oil to seal in moisture for you hair definitely try for your skin too, I’ve just started a few weeks ago and not going back! Thanks for the tip Maryjane!

I wear makeup when I feel like it. I'm not the person that'll freak out if I go out the door without makeup.
Seriously I used to wear foundation everyday 5 years ago and stopped cold turkey when I realized that it was doing a lot of harm to my skin (acne). I wouldn't go out without foundation or powder. Now I can't even imagine having to wear that sh** on my face everyday. It is truly liberating.
I wear makeup but very natural makeup the only fancy thing I do when i feel like it is eyeliner and or a colored lip. I can just put foundation on and do my brows or just concealer and brows and I’ll be alright but I’m getting used to not wearing makeup out

I completely stopped wearing much makeup about 3 years now and completely stopped wearing any makeup about a year now. I just apply my beautiful red lipstick and wing my eyelid and believe me I am very pretty.
And I ensure that I apply an extra layer of shea oil on my face when am leaving my house

I'm trying to clear my skin naturally so my blemishes leave. I can't wear foundation or concealer on my face no more because skin sensitivity & i dont even do the full face on a reg. I had to embrace my skin anyway 😄

I am 40 I have never really gotten into make up in short I don't wear it at all now I am to the point of don't even suggest the only chemical I use on my face is noxzema everything else is all natural. Face and hair it does make life so much easier and it makes me love/exsapt who I am cause I am not going to change it not my face anyway.

I’m torn because I like makeup but I’m desperately dependent on it. I have dark acne scars and hyperpigmentation on my upper lip. It sucks. I’m trying to go lighter with my makeup and invest in skin products

It’s called confidence & when you have so much within yourself you don’t want to put that crap on your face I’m like almost 3 years clean of not wearing foundation I will occasionally wear mascara, shoot I’m trying to learn how to put false lashes on put it’s so I hard I’m like F*** it Lol. I love not wearing makeup my face has cleared up so much just because of that switch I made. I’m too lazy to wear makeup because if you go to sleep with that crap on it will mess up your face. Plus I would hate how pale I looked when I took all that makeup off because in actual reality you do 👀 different without it. I strive to be different too I’am not the follow the trend type of girl no way.

I have quit wearing make up for some months, but I got back to it because it really makes me more happy and feel more feminine. I like myself with and without, but living different fantasies with different looks makes me really happy. And i Love the aspect of being creative. Since I also have tiny bumps and similar skin conditions I only use natural make up, nothing with harmful ingredients, that keeps my skin smooth

I usually only wear makeup for special occasions and I only do special hairstyles when I am going to special events other than that I wear maybe lip gloss and I wear my hair in a low bun.
I don't wear make up either besides some colored lip gloss and that's rare.

For my makeup I wear spf and a natural medium coverage powder. It’s called zuzu luxe. For lips I use some type of liquid oil under a firmer product so I’ll wear like coconut oil the dab a little Shea over it to make it last longer. I live in texas girl it’s too hot to beat your face and besides I always look the same with or without makeup so there’s really no point ☹️ when I clear up all my acne scars tho I’ll be makeup free unless it’s a holiday but even then Ill only use natural products.

I slowly took away products until I only wore concealer, but then I was like what if I don't wear it today, and then the next day I did the same, and then I was like how long can I go without it? and then I got used to my face without it and I don't feel the need to wear makeup anymore. You're really inspiring me to go without makeup. As a young woman I unfortunately still feel pressured into looking a certain way just because it's what others expect of me and because of that it makes me lose about 90% of my confidence when I go out bare. I'm sure that it would also solve my skin problems if I stopped putting on that damn paint on my face every day but mentally it's still a long way for me to go. I just want to thank you for being such a great role model being the amazing and independent woman you are!

I personally dont wear makeup, lipgloss, maybe mascara it depends. I believe women should practice skincare rountine. Once you take care of your skin loads of makeup is not necessary, thats less money spent

i think there was a point I relied on foundation too much. I was never a huge wearer of it and I love people who turn it in to an artform. However as i get older im conscious about how the less i do the better. I do love skincare though.
