Finally a trailer that leaves me still wondering what the film is actually about. It makes you want to see more without giving away every detail about what’s going to happen.

This is how trailers are meant to be!!! They get you excited for the film without revealing any major plot points! I’m way too excited for this movie, I love his films so much!
Does Tenet count?
I was so glad to read your comment because I am a *huge* fan of good trailers, and so often these days they are way too linear and heavy-handed. It feels like a lost art, at least to me. "The French dispatch" is the name of a magazine. Bill Murray is its editor. The 3 stories/articles see in black & white are stories published in the magazine based on some important events. In this trailer when the title of each story is shown, the name of the journalist who wrote it is shown under the title. The first story is written by Tilda Swinton's character, the second one is written by Frances McDormand and the third one is by Jeffrey Wright. Honestly, that's the only thing I understood
thank you. this would have been my comment.
Aman M S ah that makes a lot of sense
I swear Wes Anderson can make everyone beautiful. This movie is great, I got distracted throughout how stylistically beautiful it was. Every single shot is composed magnificently. All the people are at least visually memorable. A masterpiece.

The thing I love so much about Wes Anderson’s films is that by the end, I feel happy that there’s been a happy ending, but sad that this vision of a idiosyncratic, picturesque world is over forever and contained to the sole story presented. A master of his own style.
Owen Wilson every three years: "Hey Wes, watcha doin....? ....... wow"
Owen Wilson on a Wes Anderson movie is like Johnny Depp on almost every Tim Burton movie or Bruce Campbell on any Sam Raimi movie.

Every single time this dude puts out a movie he's seeing how much more he can saturate the film with his style.
And it's great.
Michel Gondry and Spike Jonze, kind of the same deal. I'm all over this. Of course I'm also into the Nick Cage horror movie genre lately, so my opinions may or may not carry any merit or value.
hello Minnit. btw hisss
I love the conversation between Bill Murray and Owen Wilson in the beginning.
"You don't think it's almost too seedy this time?"
"It's supposed to be charming."
A bit of commentary on how this film is so extremely Wes Anderson.
I love Wes Anderson's. They feel like children's tv shows for adults. They make me feel so happy and whimsical. They make everyone and everything a romantic
“How many Oscar nominees and winners do you wan- “

2019: Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood- Love letter for movies of the Late 60s
2020: Wes Anderson's The French Dispatch- a love letter for journalists of the early 20th century
What's Next for 2021?
a love letter to love letters
a love letter to boy with apple
I figured this would be a love letter to The French New Wave of the 60s
@@silverdropstudios7323 I Know no one will get this, but I hope it will be Paul Thomas Anderson; A Love Letter To World War 2 movies based on once famous novels. Here is my script for the conclusion ( An automobile horn blows, violently, First General Beale, (Edward Norton), and then Major Ross(George Clooney) Turn toward the ramp. Mrs Beale(Vera Farmigia) Stands up in the car and cups her hands to her mouth. ) Mrs.Beale shouts: "Bus , We want to go home!'" Major General Beale "Why not? (Glances at Major Ross) "Shall we go, Judge?"
. Ross lingers a moment, we focus on his eyes, as they gaze up to the sky and the departing plane carrying Brigader General "Jo Jo" Nichols(Daniel Day-Lewis) back to Washington. We then focus on the departing plane and its slowly fading lights and engines) We hear the narrator, (Alec Baldwin),as Greenwoods ' music begins to swell up) "The position lights of the northbound plane could still be made out by their steady movement if you knew where to look. The sound of the engine faded on the on the higher air , merging peacefully in silence. Now in the calm night and the vast sky ,the lights lost themselves, no more than stars amid the innumerbale stars" ( (As Major Ross now walks, with increasing quickness, toward the Car , following General Beale, , The End. Then, the title of the Movie. Guard Of Honor.) The closing credits are accompanied by forties standards , sung by Jo Stafford and/or Kay Starr)
2021 spike jonze film about indie bands in the early 2000s
This is Wes Anderson being the most Wes Anderson that Wes Anderson can be and I love it.
That would be The Royal Tenenbaums. This is actually less Wes Anderson than the usual
It’s a movie within 3 movies that centers around 1 movie overlooking the other movies.
God I love Wes Anderson movies.
Yep... That’s Wes Anderson winning Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Picture at the Oscars next year.
hello Don. btw hisss
I’m down for a Wes Anderson anthology film.
Wes Anderson to me is like a much lighter and less Gothic version of Tim Burton
less gothic ?
it couldnt be any further from being Gothic.
Wes got the band back together and I love every second of it.
