Thanks for bringing back some great memories of one of my favourite places to fish John. I spent a great deal of time there when I was growing up (even taking my reading homework down there & keeping a wary eye on my rods on days like you've just experienced.) You can leave the cares of the world behind you on magical sunny days like the one you filmed. Treasure those memories. Health problems prevent me going down there nowadays. It's great to see you introducing the joys of fishing to your children .
Good to see you that night John at Beaumaris. The weed was horrendous and we only had one small Smoothie between the 3 of us after you left. We gave up just after high water.
Try using half a mackerel John, you’ll get a bit more distance and the scent will seep out better also keep changing baits every 20 mins max if there’s a doggie on the bait get it whipped in and off the hook. I find if you use a dongle and an 8/0 minimum you won’t hook as many doggies either.
An epic adventure there John and Lexy and a very enjoyable watch. I thought you may have gone out on the new boat but saying that a large tope may pull you about as there doesn't seem to be much weight to it.
Great effort John and Lexy, as you say it was a beautiful day and you tried your best the fish will come tight lines matey. Father and daughter time you'll both never forget happy days and memories.

Great video guys 😂...We all have those days lol... Lucky you didn't hook Sammy the seal lol...Would have topped it right off ... I had a night like calamity Joe the other night....tangles, snags etc...I developed tourettes for a while ...but it came good in the end lol 😂
Berkley whiplash or sick got to be a magician to get any problems with wind knots,spool tangle, That's only my experience and casting more as only lure fish,anyway great content ,keep on keeping on,😉✊️
fished meol-y-don a few times I find it very staggy on the left side and best going on best to the right. Didn't know you could get tope there but I did get my first smooth hound from that spot.

my second home there john on the first mark i wont name it , catch a live mackeral or launce then freeline them using a baitrunner from low water up under your feet trust me great things will happen

Don't be fooled into thinking those bites are just doggy's john, I had a 30lb tope in Scotland just over a week ago doggy like bite till you hit it then it ran. Same for the other 4 runs and 3 landed we had between us.

first mark looks like caim , you,ve got way to much braid on the reel spool . if you over load a fixed spool with braid your asking for a bird nest .
