@@edberge Ignore this sad troll. He gets off on truly pathetic stuff, like sound-bites from non-English languages that sound sorta like the N-word for some sick reason. Hearing the outmoded word "Negro" in a song from the 1940s must have made his whole year. 🙄
Deciding to use Jews for autumn field work, the Germans postponed the extermination of Jewish collective farmers in the areas of Freidorf, Dzhankoy and Maifeld (formerly Khaklay) until the end of 1941. In the autumn-winter of 1941-42 about seven thousand Jews were exterminated in Dzhankoy (mostly from Jewish collective farms) and an unknown number in the Freidorf and Larindorf districts. On January 13, 1942, 1,512 Jews of Maifeld and six neighboring Jewish collective farms were shot. Later, the rest were shot by Mountain Jews from the collective farm named after Shaumyan (March 1942). On April 26, 1942, the Crimea was declared "cleansed of Jews" (Judenrain).

Wonderful. Thank you. I first heard this song about 1961 on a Limeliters album. The chorus has stuck in my head ever since.
שיר מקסים, מלא חיוניות ושמחה. כדאי לשמוע את פיט סיגר שר זאת....
Who says that Jews cannot be farmers? Spit in his eye who would so harm us! Hey Djankoye!
Sure, but not in Crimea
Great song, its enthusiasm despite the minor-keyed verses would have won me over for this project (collective farming etc) in no time back then!
Those english lyrics are NOT a translation
it's kind of close still
Crimea is Ukraine🥰
Djankoye has never been an area of Ukraine.
Otherwise it a great song.
It was and it is.
Crimea is Ukraine

Not even in your dream.
He said the N-word
Bullshit.

The translation of the last but one sentence from Russian into English is wrong. Moreover, the proper German spelling of the last word is “judenrein”.
