hey @Virtue Grace you lookin good. thank you for puttin Us up on Afrika. peace to the young Sista. dude need to be dealt with harshly, in my opinion. I’ll say this a million times: much of western culture is toxic for Us. there is a price for all this pursuit of ultimate comfort, ultimate convenience, which is the western way. it’s about materialism, individualism, disconnectedness, short term view and ultimately white supremacy. why do We buy into such a paradigm? haven’t We figured it out yet? Afrika was about communalism, holistic, long term vision, respect for nature, etc. this is in direct opposition to that other sh. not saying Afrika was perfect, pre-imposition. but I get it, that other sh seems sexier, sounds better and appeals to the animalistic side of human beings but We are suppose to overcome that. and really the only reason their way seems better is because they gave Us that eurocentric mindset and immersed Us with that western propaganda machine. the “benefit “ of accepting and living the western way is seeing the results that reality won’t allow denial. rivers, lakes and oceans polluted, air pollution, soil pollution, sociological disease, super germs from heavy use of antibiotics, broken marriages and families, etc, etc, etc. wow I guess I got triggered, haven’t ranted like this in a minute. anyway in order to resolve a problem, you have to go to the root. addressing it superficially don’t cut it. We have to take a hard look at the effects of the imposition of western culture upon Afrika and decide if We want to continue down this path or reincorporate some of Our Afrikan Indigenous Culture, which didn’t bring Us all this comfort and convenience but at least We had clean water to drink and everyone was fed and housed. peace my good Sista.
