One of the very few games I crowdfunded (thanks to a Jim Sterling video). Sadly, it was and always will be a disappointment. Never lived up to what Compulsion promised. On top of that, they sold out to Gearbox, after hitting their goals on Kickstarter, mind you. Absolutely atrocious. To anyone who paid $60 for this, you were fleeced.
Fun fact! The devs basically released it for free at the start before they realized what they had so they bumped it up to 60 dollars to squeeze as much money as they could leading to everyone having huge issues with the game and so that’s why it kinda fell off the face of the earth after the release
i played the early access game, and it made alot of sense, that is the main character feels lost and doesnt know, what the point of life is or what he is suppost to do. the fact that alot of the game world at that point, was open and empty, really suited the feel of the game. that is, the feeling of being lost or not knowing what to do or what would come next.
Sally is the worst, a femme fatale and even worse, gets the happiest ending. In Arthur’s version she says she slept with his dad because she liked him and thought his beard was adorable. In her version it was because he was generous and that he said he loved her. People say she’d of been kicked out the house if she refused, yet that didn’t stop her from running away and never coming back when Arthur caught them together. So clearly that wasn’t an issue for her. Then she acts like nothing happened when meeting Arthur after 14 years. She gave herself to Verloc in exchange for him teaching her everything he knew, which is stated by herself when telling a story to Gwen. She sleeps with the general, and just look at her quotes on her wiki, which has her say things like “lie back and think of England” “just lie down and enjoy it” when doing takedowns. Or “well that is a lot more satisfying than undermining the other girl’s confidence” when winning a fight. She’s not all bad, but she’s not as innocent as many believe she is.
I got to the second part of Arthur's story before I got distracted by other new games. Then when the trailer for the rocker guy's (lightbearer ?) dlc came out I wanted to come back but didn't have money for the dlc
I think this game is very underrated. They did get a deal that allowed them to add more content to the base game and make dlc. The only problem i have is the games price is something like 90$ with all DLC and that is absurd. I bought the game before the gearbox deal for like 20$ so im not unhappy with it but its definitely not worth the current price unless its on sale.
I love this game. I played it since it released and bought all the dlc. Best $30 I have ever spent on a videogame, Although the gameplay and the story dont quite mesh. I also found the game incredibly easy but it could be worse at least its not ridiculously difficult. All in all I love the game, the aesthetic, story, OST, premise, and humor are all incredibly attractive to me.
I think I enjoyed the survival era of it. It was super hard to get anywhere, but it felt more concrete and less overwhelming. It did feel silly to have the areas divided into rectangles though. Anyway I bought the game for the psychedelic 60s fantasy feel, and kinda ended up getting a game that does the job better for me just recently (Deathloop). Gotta return to this some day though. Has a lot of spirit!

Yes Kevduit. Yes
Arthur is a cool character tbh i dont see issues with him he was a terrified child who regrets his actions he forgotten about ,his whole objective is to leave to find percy on the other side
This game besides the bugs one of the best made tbh just my opinion tho agree to disagree
I agree 100%!
“There’s just tea cups everywhere”
“Oo drugs!”
Fun fact! The devs basically released it for free at the start before they realized what they had so they bumped it up to 60 dollars to squeeze as much money as they could leading to everyone having huge issues with the game and so that’s why it kinda fell off the face of the earth after the release
10:28 I LOVE LEAN 😈😈💜💜💜
I love that Kev still wears Valkyn Skoria to honor his ESO days of wrecking Aldmeri Dominion scum bags.
i played the early access game, and it made alot of sense, that is the main character feels lost and doesnt know, what the point of life is or what he is suppost to do. the fact that alot of the game world at that point, was open and empty, really suited the feel of the game. that is, the feeling of being lost or not knowing what to do or what would come next.
W + your father loves you + i hope this video does well + I'm sure your girlfriend is doing well + you are loved
Was following it long before release, got released, was both dogshit and broken beyond belief. Didn't touch it since

"What happens if I pop 20 Joy all at once ?"
I'm pretty sure that just like any other drug, you'd overdose and die instantly...
the story is absolute donkey buns but the gameplay and environment is amazing
For me it’s the other way around
I got to the second part of Arthur's story before I got distracted by other new games. Then when the trailer for the rocker guy's (lightbearer ?) dlc came out I wanted to come back but didn't have money for the dlc
Here's a tip if you're playing again. If you drink the water in the city, it'll give you a small amount of Joy. Pretty useful if you need some.
Dishonered meets Amnesia, a truly ambitious crossover
I think this game is very underrated. They did get a deal that allowed them to add more content to the base game and make dlc. The only problem i have is the games price is something like 90$ with all DLC and that is absurd. I bought the game before the gearbox deal for like 20$ so im not unhappy with it but its definitely not worth the current price unless its on sale.
12:23 that's not just any purple juice that's LEANNN 💜💜💜
Has a lot of spirit!
i remember watching playthroughs of this in 2018 but most of the playthroughs just didn’t continue after their first episode
Really like the atmosphere and story of this game. I might give it a try!
Those 9 seconds of "then the game's development went like this" is pretty much the most perfect summation of the game I've seen.
I played it all. The dlc and explored everything. It's a great game. Very underground. It's in my top 5 and forever will be. WORTH THE PLAY
