I've seen a few videos using this method pertaining to desktops. I'm going to try it and see if I can reset the password on my PC. I hope I works because I've been locked out of my computer for a few days and have tried multiple ways to unlock it with no success.
Don't skip any part of the video ... I know it works..
If you are a duffer like me..there is no easy way to get into your computer after your password is cruelly not cooperating..l did nothing wrong..just opened my machine and it would not accept my password..l did not forget or lose it…so why do l feel like its my fault..🇨🇦

Why does my command prompt says X instead of C?
X: drive is for the recovery environment of windows. The C: drive contains the main OS and your personal files. The X: drive contains files to boot to the recovery environment and the recovery tools.
How do I switch from X drive to C?
Change Directory in CMD to C Drive
Run Command Prompt. You can find it by typing “CMD” in your search bar.
Enter “ cd ” or “ chdir .”
Press the “Space” key.
Type in “ C: ” beside “ cd ” in the CMD.
Press the “Enter” key.

I dont have the option of USB Storage Device in boot manager I only have 4 options
Make sure that the USB Boot manager is enabled.
Try this :
Restart the system into the BIOS.
Ensure the Boot Mode is set to EFI (or UEFI). ...
Make sure that the USB Boot Priority is enabled.
Save the changes and exit.
