DIY cupcake stand, dessert towers and cake plates, in any color! This project was so much fun and something I wanted to try for a long time. I picked up some plastic plates, bowls and some candlesticks for 99c each, sprayed them pink and glued them together to create tons of different styled cupcake stands, and cake plates and couldn't be more excited with how they tuned out! Note: Put down a doily or something underneath food, so it is not directly sitting on the spray painted plates (sorry I didn't show that in the video!)

I don't have the volume on, so I am not sure if you mentioned this in the video, but is the spray paint safe to put food on after it has dried or is there a specific one I should look for?

How would you put fruit in the bowl if it’s spray painted ? Do you put something in the bowl before putting the fruit in or was the bowl already that color pink? Thanks 😊

I love all your different designs! Normally, I'd prefer white, and it would be easier to find white plates and not worry about putting food on toxic paint, but you make me so tempted to do pink for my daughter's upcoming 3rd Peppa Pig birthday party! If I don't find pink plates in today's thrift store run, I found some tips for food safe painting - Rust-Oleum Zinsser 408 Bulls Eye Clear Shellac Spray or find clear plates and just paint the bottom. Thanks for the video! :)

I'm thinking that you can always just spray the bottom and the color will show thru since it's a clear plate

What about cupcake cones, sugar and regular for display and packaging?
Very cute!! Is it even safe to put food straight on it because of the spray paint? I would probably use some kind of liner before I put food on it. Great DIY though!!!!
It is best to put down a doily or something between the food and the plates if it is not in a cupcake liner. Sorry, I didn't do that for the video!!!

JaNese Simon Any brand should work great. I usually get mine from Home Depot, Lowes or Michaels, depending on what color I am looking for. Be sure to let me know how it goes! :D

What glue can I use
Is the spray paint good safe?
I would suggest to place a paper doily under food that would touch the plates- I forgot to do this with the cookies in my video, so sorry!
Are their any food safe options for paint so you can put your food right on it?
Destiny Ramirez i would recommend putting a doily or something like that so the food doesn't come in contact with the painted plates- hope that helps! Be sure to let me know how it goes! :D

They worked great for me! The 99c store also had ceramic and glass plates that would work great too!
