We thought that the smoldering butterfly would be Messmer’s until the RUclipsr playtest happened and it turns out that there is a new butterfly called the black pyrefly that mentions Messmer so the butterfly theory still stands so far.

This is hardly surprising. Smoldering Bfly refers to kindling and with several other kindling references to Melina, Messmer was never am option in my eyes. Except if they would've made Melina, Messmer's feminine incarnation which gladly they didn't, because that would've made certain lore no longer line up.

Ranni doesn't fight for shards of Elden Ring. In fact she casts aside her own Great Rune and disenchants Marika and the Elden Ring inside her to get her ending.

The shackles for Morgott and Mogh work only twice per fight with them, and Mogh’s only works before he sprouts wings. Also, yes Morgott’s shackle also works on Margit the Fell as they are the same person

With all the lore we got from the DLC, it can be assumed that the FOUR demigods born of Radagan and Marika all are born with some kind of curse. Messemer has a cursed flame and serpent within him, Malenia is accursed with the Scarlet Rot from an Outer God, Miquella is cursed to be forever young and has a creepy brocon for Radahn, his half brother, and Melina, poor Melina, is cursed to be the Kindling Maiden, who give her life to burn down the Erdtree

I quit elden the first time after fighting the tree sentinel ..i deleted the game and went outside to touch grass..when i went outside it started to rain ..as i ran to take shelter i saw a lone white plastic chair just there alone in the rain and suddenly Bury the light started to play from spotify playlist...i felt motivated..went back home redownloaded elden ring..beat the game...thanks virgil..i was the storm that was approaching ..

Not sure how that makes sense since Godwyn lives on through death as the Prince of Death, plus his soul couldn't reincarnate due to the black knifes killing that part of him due to the curse mark of the centipede
