Hey Tommy, my best wishes from Greece. I admire you and i consider you one of the best in the world right now. I practice wing chun and i really would like to know what exercises you do for the speed punches you can give. Can u make a video for that please or just answer. Thanks a lot and keep up your great work!
ive been doing this for a long time and its been killing me becuase the toe to arch theory using an imaginary line, makes me lose my balance, not at all have myself stable. I put my feet shoulder width apart like a boxers stance and i balance it better and im stablized. Do you know why i dont stay and feel balanced in the bai jong stance?
plenty of reasons. you need to research the pictures of Sijo in pictures and all of his Pupils stance. Basically, it is power hand forward, front foot curved at a 45, rear leg to the righ/ left slightly depending on your lead power hand, toe raised for push off. Just practice standing it in, once you realize the structure of the triangles and weight shifting, it becomes natural. Notice, you should only be flat footed in very close range combat!
I can`t believe it`s been ten years already. I`m at lesson 3 at the moment online and still learning something new.
is Tommy's stance as opposed to the original JKD stance ????
Very helpful: that completely explains why my kicks are slower in the first stance.
Bonjour j'espère que vous allez bien excellent cordialement jean Louis
master tommy you have a beautiful dog .
