On 02/24/2022,
Officers were dispatched to the local Walmart, in reference to a shoplifting that had already occurred.
Officers arrived on the scene and met with Walmart Loss Prevention employee. The employee advised the suspect had paid for some items and tried walking out with several other items that were not paid for that added up to 187.74. The stolen items consisted of various children's clothing.
The suspect was released on Citation for Theft by Shoplifting and barred for a period of two years, beginning on 02/24/2022 and ending on 02/24/2024.

I did retail security for 21 years on numerous occasions I had people used their children to conceal murmerchandise. I also had numerous times where the parent ran off leaving their child. It was heartbreaking having to turn children over to the police who then turned them over to cps because mommy didn't want to get a misdemeanor charge for shoplifting.
