@@deeznoots6241 Ok, thanks for informing me. I just wrote a general observation, I have never played the game myself and I am not that good at strategy either.
Yeah, I've found out it is usually better to try for a high flush than a full house in the beginning, as flushes are way easier to get and can still get you out.
You can also win with a straight with the lowest card being 8, 9 or 10. Because of base chips, full house needs cards that total to 35 chips, flush needs 40, and straight needs 45. In this case tyler had AKJ of diamonds which was already 31/40 chips, so flush was the best play to go for to save a little extra money.
I watched this run on stream and I gotta say: mad props to the editors; the cuts are seamless and give a fresh feeling to content I’ve already seen; it makes me want to go back and watch the livestreams where previous videos I’ve seen are from to get that experience too.
i bought $300 worth of new games across last year, and at least half of that was games that tyler played 😂😂 i know that feeling, can't wait to see how much i end up spending this year
@@codesymphonythe link is right there in the comment to check for yourself, but simply deducing from the fact that it was cut out, very little happened.
After seeing videos of that one guy getting scores so high it used extra notations (e.g. 1.67e36), it feels nice to watch a completely normal and fair run of Balatro with no insane synergy that guarantees a win whatsoever
Didn't watch the stream to see, but in case anyone hasn't encountered it yet, the red seal (retrigger a card) does work on steel cards in your hand as well.
I am here for this big hand. Also I do have a recommendation that probably won’t come through, but I will try. The game is called worldless and I have started playing it. It is a fun game that combines miniature puzzles with a good combat system and some parkour. This is my first day of recommending this.
You can get some pretty nutty strategies. I got a nuts draw with a double Spectral pack that changed all the selected cards to the same suit, then to the same value, in the deck without face cards. I ended up with 9 [7 of spades] cards. Then i took all the death and devils to remove other cards and was able to consistently get [Flush 5 of a kind]s every round.
I just found out that 1) on the boss that makes you always draw 3, you draw 3 even if this puts you above your hand size; and 2) you can continue runs even after you've won
The voucher for +1 hand per round is a good monetary investment while also acting as a safety net because each leftover hand when you beat a round gives you $1, and there is a cap on how much interest you can make.
so this may help or not for anyone playing. I believe the order of Cards from Left to Right (it is high to low btw) seems to be set as Spades, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds so with some level of math and guestimation if your hand is unknown but you can see one or more cards you can be fairly confident with what you may or may not have in terms of Suit and Value.
I actually think taking the voucher for 10 is more greed than gaining the 2-3 dollars of interest you lose: you gain 1 dollar for each extra hand you DON'T use, so 1 turning the boss gives you an extra dollar. When you DON'T take the voucher, you assume that you can win the game without the hand, so we can assume that you will ALWAYS have at least one extra hand due to the voucher. That means by the time you beat the second boss, you've already made back the money you lost in interest, and by the ante 6 boss you have made money over the $10 buy in. Even after counting the cost of not getting the interest, and the initial cost of the voucher, by the end of the game the voucher pays for itself plus some, assuming you get to that point. Long term gain in exchange for short term sacrifice: greeeeeed
I was watching your Balatro playlist, and I just saw you recently uploaded a new vid of this. Immediately clicked on it, I was waiting for more Balatro.
When I saw the 2nd demo come out I searched your RUclips channel to see if you tried but that was during your break and I got sad I'm glad to see you back for this game
I watched this in the stream, and also got my first win with Ancient Joker, which is very strong. I'm still hazy on the best triggering order with a whole bunch of jokers triggering on different conditions, so I hope you'll keep on explaining. I just put chips on the left +mult in the middle and x-mult on the right, but for some builds you have to do some shuffling of jokers.
I'm sure Tyler realizes this, but for others trying to understand the strategy here, the largest numbers are always going to be square so you want a balance of cards adding to blue and red rather than focusing on one, unless you get some stupid synergy that makes one of them gigantic on its own
straight with 8 or higher as the lowest card works on the first round, as does a flush with I believe 35 chips from the cards, and a full house I believe needs 30 chips from the cards. I might be wrong on some of those numbers. I did check the straight though.
If you see him going fast, it is because the editor put coke on the video, 'cause Tyler spent mo' time thinkin' ev'ry move like if he was playing chess with the AI from "I have no Mouth"
This game's fucking amazing man. I've been following you all the way since your bloons days (like OLD bloons days) and this is easily my favourite game you've ever played. Never spent £12 quicker in my life.
what i think be a interesting new/modded joker is for every x over the required chip for the blind you get a gold (probably up to a limit or maybe not its single player)
The same $10 if not spent on +1 hand but instead saved would earn back double that amount of money over the same time from interest. +1 hand is only worth it if you’re at the interest cap and/or you plan to make use of that extra hand.
weird to think that during stream I wanted the flush house but at 5 am in the morning, 32:00 makes me think to go without flush house bc the smiley double procs
Can you play "Die In The Dungeon" I think you would be very good at the game and enjoy it very much, it is a strategy/RPG game and it is pixelated like Backpack Hero. Part of the game is free on steam but the full version is not yet available on steam. (Its releasing sometime this year) P.S. Idk if the full game is going to be free.
The odds are more like 1 in 16 than 1 in 64, since you would have been just as suprised if it was 3 of any suit in a row. The statistic that mattered was the chance that you get any single suit 3 times in a row, rather than diamonds 3 times in a row.
When people said the price will be 15$ i'm afraid that this game will be too expensive when it comes out, but no, in my country the price is almost half the original price
It is sad you didn't tryed endless mode from this point. I think you can unlock cards that way and it doesn't take long anyway since you go to huuuge score needed and get rekt :D (sory for bad english)
36:03 good 'New Tyler Laugh' achievement, love the 'unnoticed' edits
I had to do a double take to make sure I saw it right lmao, and still for a moment I thought that was the actual achievement
There's also a Jimbo in the intro car

That is some great synergy with the joker in his hand that multiplies the final multi based on how many empty joker slots there are

36:04 Nice job, editors!
That was _so_ smooth. Spotless editing
For a second I thought the creators added that to the game 😂 really clean edit
Note is that straights and flushes can also both 1-tap the first small blind since they got buffed to 4 mult combos in the 3rd demo
Seeing him discard those diamonds at the start physically hurt me
ahh so that's why they're viable now. Good to know.
11:45 LMAO never heard Tyler get that angry before
i watched this run on the stream while i was cleaning the other day, i jumped when i heard that 😂😂😂
i remember a ttp2 clip where tyler got that mad, dunno what video its in tho
You clearly haven't heard the scream he made in The Talos Principle 2 part 15 (the golden gate puzzles) (it was at 55:18 btw)

I got this recommended but refused to watch cuz I wanna see Tyler do that
part of the fun is the crazy synergy... then part of the fun is editing the game file and making a run where you can get to e200+ off of a single king

I just found out that 1) on the boss that makes you always draw 3, you draw 3 even if this puts you above your hand size; and 2) you can continue runs even after you've won
The joker staring menacingly in the car at the start 😂
Hey Tyler, could you turn on the high contrast cards in the options? Makes it way easier to see the different suits and it looks nice too. Great run!

Since I watched the stream in its entirety, I’ve seen the massive 12 million, but the editing makes it fun to watch again.
oh wow i got this video recommended 5 minutes after it released, that's cool
also more balatro, awesome
Boss: [debuffs suit]
Ancient Joker: 🗿

Another rockin’ banger! You have outdone yourself now
Watched the stream, but the editing is making it worth the while to watch again
11:17 why was he saying the +8 would only come after the multiplier chain?
What do you guys think is the best joker to get in ante 1 btw? To start with, on just any deck like red, blue, or yellow
My personal favorite is probably getting the pants early lol, 2 pair is really easy to do and it scales up surprisingly fast
saw this at the start of the stream immediately knew I'd be seeing again and it's just as amazing lol
You could say, tyler has an *ace* up his sleeve

I'm so glad it's back, I missed the goat
Thanks man, this videos help me to get better at the game.
really great editing in this video❤, looking forward to watching more in the future :)
Last night I dropped a 700B run, and it was glorious.

11:43 Man, luck's been terrible at the start
Thank you to Dan for editing streams down :>
The blank voucher potentially does something from the 11th buy onwards.
Unfortunately i watched this run on the vod but it's definitely a banger for those of you that haven't
If you buy the blank 10 times throughout multiple runs, you unlock a new voucher. The best voucher.
If you see him going fast, it is because the editor put coke on the video, 'cause Tyler spent mo' time thinkin' ev'ry move like if he was playing chess with the AI from "I have no Mouth"
Man those runs that go woo are just insane, I got 125 mil all of a sudden due to a fuck ton of mult multipliers and that sure was a shocker
balatro looks kinda weird without the vfx but i assume its to save the bitrate

please turn on high contrast in the settings! great video!
Something I noted from this video, debuffed cards just give no multiplier or chips, they can still be played for their number or suit.
I had the exact same thing happen with the boss blinds hard countering the ancient joker. It's gotta either be bugged or intended
Holy crap Rush reference
the blank only does something if you buy it ten times (it gives some voucher I don't know what the voucher is tho)
I already have watched it on live stream but re-watching it so I can see what the editors have done to make it next level (Spoiler : damn they good)
what i think be a interesting new/modded joker is for every x over the required chip for the blind you get a gold (probably up to a limit or maybe not its single player)
Good to see streams edited into videos.
He's so back!
+1 hand is always worth it in the first shop, if it doesn't save your run it pays for itself in just over 3 antes
The same $10 if not spent on +1 hand but instead saved would earn back double that amount of money over the same time from interest. +1 hand is only worth it if you’re at the interest cap and/or you plan to make use of that extra hand.
Can you do a high card only game with only one card in a hand thats playable, it would be cool to see how well you can optimize a single card
I love your videos so glad your back!
I love balatro mi best build yet was (jokers) hack, and the fibonacci courve quick ramp up
I already watched this in the livestream, but I guess I'm watching it again now... This time with editing!
12:31 shootouts indeed.
