If I recall correctly when it was towed and taken to the mechanic, sometime later the car fell on someone and killed him, months or years later the engine fell on someone and killed that other person as well, as well as the accidents involving the actual car and parts, which is too much of a coincidence for it to be just a series of freak accidents in my opinion.
This is almost too spooky to be true. 😥 On the other hand I don’t believe Sir Alec was someone to seek cheap attention by telling distasteful BS. 🤔

According to Rolf Wütherich, James Dean was a very well-behaved driver on the road. The speeding ticket was misreported and exaggerated, because Dean was fined for going just 5 mph over the speed limit. Dean had the right of way, so he was innocent.

I believe that was God speaking through Alec, to warn James Dean about the car and what was about to happen. Or just letting him know that James wouldn't be her anymore. And to say that he would be dead in a week and it actually happened is eerie and sad. R.I.P James Byron Dean.
I visited that location this summer, being 10 miles off the beaten path. It’s in the valley of two hills, with good visibility. And up the other hill is where James Dean was going to meet some friends for dinner. The sun was setting behind him in the west which would have made his the low profile 356 Porsche hard to see. Add in the silver paint. As far as I know, Dean and Wütherich were heading west to Pass Robles, so he had the sun in his face, not behind him. Sunset was more than an hour after the time of the accident btw.
Guinness is an amazing actor. ( Sir ) In Bridge over he played an officer to a fault and a similar faulty Scottish Officer in another movie. A well groomed talent really.. This work and just being in Hollywood lead to the Star Wars casting for which he negotiated a % . He needed not work for $ again. American Directors made fun of the thespian preferring William Holden type. As a Canadian I don’t think of him as a foreigner at tall.. oh , and prophesy is a gift from God it’s written.
Lew Bracker was the other person at the table with Dean and said it was true. They both laughed off the dieing in that car remark. When Dean came back with Alec Guinness he was white as a ghost.

I don't believe the story. Guinness already trips up when he claims Jimmy died on a Thursday, he died at 5:45 on a Saturday evening.

No, it was a Friday when James Dean died not a Saturday but you need to take into consideration this interview that Alec Guinness has with Michael Parkinson was years after the death of James Dean back in 1955. This interview I believe was in the early 70’s so did you not just think that Alec Guinness simply didn’t remember the exact day of the week and mistakenly said Thursday instead of Friday? It’s obvious he just didn’t remember the exact day of the week. Don’t know why you would think he’s lying or “tripping up” his story!
People can say and believe anything they want but the fact that Dean's mechanic and friend Lew Bracket confirmed the story leave unbelievers as fools. Sir Alec Guinness did not need to say the world what happened during their one off meet to make himself more important. There are truths out there whether you believe it or not.
