I showed this to my land-mate's daughter - up until then, a typical American. She was blown away - it was the first subtitled, foreign, non-Hollywood movie she had ever seen and it completely opened up her eyes.
This used to be my no. 1 movie for years. When I first went to Paris I found the soundtrack on a CD at a street seller. I was so happy I cried!!! The cast is awesome, the plot is brilliant, the characters quirky. Five stars, to this day. PS: Awesome edit!!!
My dad gave me the soundtrack on record, it was one of his favorite films in the 80s too. Instantly fell in love on the first listen and now we share this movie together. And I’m moving to Paris soon for college!!!
Just beautiful.....a tribut to life itself!!! Christopher Lambert used to be a big favvo of mine as he stared in another franchise -- HIGHLANDER --, portraying an immortal scottish warrior….never can die except from another warrior's sword headcutting….." THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE" !!!!!!
one of my favourite films. I want to watch it time and time again and hope that the ending is different! I love this music. I love the quirky characters.
I went to Paris many times. But twice I went there just because of this movie. First: I wanted to do some rollerskating in the Metro. The next time it was to find out which Metro station it was where Christophe Lambert dove into the underground (it was Port Maillot)
Love this ... happy memories of seeing this on the BIG scope screen at sadly-missed Lumiere cinema on ST Martin's Lane. Big thanks for editing together and posting! :-)
i watched this movie when i was five, six and 25 years later i was living in abandoned slaughter factory with two twins in relationship and all i just wanted there was to make some good project with people, that all failed but i see what influence this movie had for me and when i was watching it for first time i remember i wanted to live like that in underground,so i got my wish...
Maintenant tu as la réponse… »

In the end Fred fought The Law and The Law won, bummer ending, but true to reality this world, sadly.. Boss Banker Husband of Adjani character and with his army of scum thugs triumph , and leaving a Dead Fred. The song is TRANSCENDENT TO the movie
This song does not get enough recognition and is very underrated
Agree. Great song, great lyrics, great melody....
Big time agree!!
I showed this to my land-mate's daughter - up until then, a typical American. She was blown away - it was the first subtitled, foreign, non-Hollywood movie she had ever seen and it completely opened up her eyes.
Very worthy. And a great film to introduce her to the rest of the world. I hope you showed her more Luc Besson after that?
I ❤ this film! The end is so sad.....I cried always.......I watched it a 100000 times!! ❤
The soundtrack is amazing

So adorable! 😘
I may be a little late ;) but the main big station was AUBER (Grands magasins)
You are not late. It s obviously RER A but I was always wondering if it was La Defense or Nation. So now i know it is neither but Auber.!
Class - what iconic imagery throughout - brilliant - thanks

Les années 80......
Le bon temps ! Besson avait du talent avant de partir aux US ! Heureusement, Eric Serra est resté !
genial
