- Before Bradford had a chance to realize that the victim from the bus was infected by the lethal virus, he coughs blood into Bradford's face. Bradford quickly reacts by shutting the bedroom door between him and Chen; protecting her. The next morning-after Bradford had been dosed with an experimental vaccine-he and Chen emerged from the quarantined house. Shortly after greeting his friends, Bradford collapses to the ground.
From Season 1 Episode 20 "Free Fall": It's exam day for the rookie, but an isolated terrorist attack plot to weaponize a deadly virus, puts their grades on hold. While responding to a call, Bradford may be infected with the virus. Later, Nolan questions Jessica's decisions.

FIRST, there were too many change-of-angle/view to see if she used an alcohol pad to sterilize the injection area. SECOND, I witness injections almost every day. If the patient does not bleed they do not always apply a bandaid.
