No you shouldn't be paying more than R1500 a month, also make sure you switch your geyser on for about an hour and a half when you need to bath and then switch it off...

R6000 on electricity a month, is too much. At home we buy R1000 per mouth. Sometimes we might buy an extra electricity of R300 in the same month and the units on the box might say 200 or 180

Watch out there are electric meter companies that have contracts with landlords, and they do something on those meter boxes and you end up spending a lot monthly, it happened to me and the guy who works for that company actually told me that that's how this landlord and the metre box company make a profit, i was also paying roughly 4,5 monthly

Hello Vee yes I agree about the electric bill and the prepaid bs. I think they charge you for making the payment that is why it doesn’t add up. Next year my time to visit the states will be winter time in South Africa 🇿🇦 I will be going back to Florida! I’m paying so much in electricity!!!1🇿🇦🇺🇸

That electric spend is way too much, it's a day light robbery and I suggest You get an electrician to check is out
