I’m surprised Chaplin didn’t do so well in the box office. It was fantastic. They must have not promoted the film right. Downey was great in that film but can understand how he lost to Pacino for Scent of a Woman. Pacino owned that role and was more impactful that Downey’s portrait of Chaplin.
