I cleared prelims 2024 just by knowing the basic concepts (static) and 10 month current affairs pdf. But my mains GS 3 went horrible, the syllabus is so wide and information/notes are so scattered.
I would still prefer mains 365 as my main source coz atleast it's organised as per syllabus.
Making notes from newspaper, especially for economy, especially for mains, is almost an impossible task don't even try doing it.
And reading a textbook is also as useless because most questions are current based. GS 3 as a whole is a very challenging subject, i have already started making organised syllabus wise point wise notes for next year (primarily using google).

@@snehalohia-d9x I was preparing from home, with no coaching or anything. So my strategy isn't very organised or worth sharing. My major focus was on solving a lot of tests. And also I learnt current affairs really well (from monthly magazine and pt 365 and also yearly recitals of vajiram).
Now I have moved to Delhi, preparing for mains by writing a test every week + making my own notes from pretty much scratch. I'm facing super difficulty in completing the paper. I am still missing 3-4 questions in every paper. Aiming to improve that by January.
For next pre I'll do the same- solve a lot of tests, learn 12-14 months current affairs+ learn basic static by heart (something which I didn't do in 2024 and made a lot of silly mistakes in polity). Polity and geography are the only 2 subjects you can be absolutely sure of. There is no guarantee about history, environment or economy.
Since I'm in Delhi I have started reading newspaper which was not available in my town during my 24 attempt.
Sorry I don't use Instagram 🙃 there is so much brainrot content on insta these days 😂😂 Also tbh I won't be of any help to you, there are so many toppers so many strategy videos and so many coaching channels why would you want a random person to give you any advice to clear the exam. I mean what's my credibility?
The best strategy would be what you come up with yourself ☺️ Still for any discussion or conversation I'm super active on this channel, I'm always commenting here and there 😅. Best of 🤞!
