- Look whose back for another Height Comparison at CelebHeights Headquarters - Big IONA! How tall has she grown?
Last time we measured Iona on the Stadiometer, was back in September 2017 (which seems like an eternity). She clocked in about 5ft 3 and 1/8th. Now at beginning of March 2019, just how much taller has she grown in 1 and a half years?
My sister was a real Giant in her time.
She was 5'2 when she was 9
Everybody expected her to cross 6 foot mark.
But she completely stopped growing and now she is 28 and still 5'2😐
After menstruation, the growth stops…

Hey Rob, I’m equally obsessed with height. I’m wondering what stadiometer is the best bang for buck, best price that’s cheap yet accurate.
So those heels give her about four inches of extra height. That’s awesome. It’s nice to see that she towers over you by about .5 inches. Has she grown since this video?

Rob how is possible that in the video with 9 cm exaclty difference she's bottom of head comes at half of your forehead? Does it possible or maybe it seems because you didn't stand 100% straight?
Shouldn't she's bottom of head be only slitghly above your eyebrows with 9 cm gap ? How is it possible that she seems to reach half of your forehead? maybe because you weren't standing very straight?
Well, if she has tall parents, the Dutch graph is referent, and her function is on a good way to reach 169 cm as optimal height at 20 years old. Nice height for girl.
I think she could grow up to 173-176 cm but she could only reach167-170
@@zozo-bi5kd That's to much for her, she has grown 4 cm in the last 1,5 year (at the time of this video). She will probably end up at the 167-168 range.
Hey Rob, any guesses how tall Big Iona, Dawn, and Rose might be these days? They always seemed tall for their ages.

Since I was also 164.5cm tall then and still like the same. Want to know how much she is taller than me now with and without heels. May be I would be up to her shoulder level when she wears heels. Am I correct?
I think she's 165cm at maximum i would say, since she doesnt grow much from 13 to 15
I would be interested to know if similarly sized rollerblades would give Iona more height. For example, I have heard that 4 inch heels do not actually make someone 4 inches taller. It is something a bit less because of the way the ankle pivots when wearing them. However I would think rollerblades with 4 inch wheels might because it is basically all a platform. Rob, could you try an experiment showing how much height heels vs rollerblades would give Iona and see how much taller than you each one makes her?

Hey Rob - as well as measuring height on the stadiometer, which is very cool, as an idea - why not also get a Clarks foot gauge and measure foot length/width and changes? Would go well with the height measuring!
She will probably stop growing at 15. Girls normally stop growing between 13-15. 1-2 cm still possible.

Hey Rob, How much do you weigh?
In reality she was 5'3 flat when you measured her the previous time, due to the old stadiometer's inaccuracy. She grew almost 2 millimeters and a half per month, which is not as much as someone might have thought! Although I think that the first year the growth was faster and then it has slowed down.
@@RobPaul The problem though is that she grew less than 2 inches in 1 year and a half, on the peak age of growth, and now it has probably already slowed down imo. Considering the fact that it's unlikely (possible of course though, as anything is) that she'll grow after 16, I don't think she can even gain 2 inches in the best case. But as you said, we'll see!

Good day Big Rob,a lot of people do surgical leg lengthening like 5,6 inches to increase their height as they say it'a not metal there its bones regrowing,what do you think after that operation can a human do same heavyweight squats and deadlifts like before with old legs?
No the limb length proportions will be skewed. Especially if A) you get the femur lengthened this will affect squats. Or B) Any change in leg length will affect deadlifts as you have to reach down much further
I’m 5’8 3/4 in the morning and float in the low 5’8 range or 5’8 in the late evening. And I have long enough legs to wear a 34 inch inseam for my jeans. My femurs are very long and this is where my extra length comes from. I also have a very short torso and low seated height. My 5’11 friend and I have the same length legs but he has a much larger and longer torso which makes his seated height much higher then mine.
If I got this surgery and gained 3-4 inches of height I would have the legs of a 6’4-6’6 guy on a 5’11-6’0 frame

hi rob , the high heels in this video seem to be the same pair of jenny in the 2015 high heels video? In this video the heels gave iona 10.4cm ,but gave jenny 9.8cm, it is interesting could you reply me rob ?
Yes they are exact same, but the difference is because Jenny has smaller feet, so the pivot point (ankle) is slightly lower compared to Iona who has about 1.5 size bigger feet.

So those heels give her about four inches of extra height.
Just over 4 inches. The same Heels give Jenny just under 4 inches because Jenny has a shorter foot than Iona.

My sister stopped growing when she was 11. She was 5’4 (half a head taller than the 2nd tallest kid in the school)
After everyone started to hit puberty, pretty much everyone got taller than her lol, I’m a head taller than her now
Your sister is average for her gender now. Had she stopped growing after 11, likely would've been taller than my 5 foot 6 inch self.

@@domli9553 boys normally stop growing around 22-24. Just do some stretching, have a proper diet, no smoking and have enough sleep(8-10) hrs.

I’m 184 cm at 17 and I feel tall when I’m in the Middle East but when I go to Europe I feel average is there any chance for me to grow to 190 cm
And I’m 104 kilos but feel like 80 or 75
Saad most European countries are on average 178-181cm...so you’d be slightly above average height...you might end up 187-190cm so it’s possible...I personally think 187-188cm is the start of tall in most European countries(except Netherlands) so even if you don’t reach 190cm...187-188cm is still considered tall!

@@berayan-power I'd would strongly recomend not to. You will be unable to do many things for many months and even after your recovery you might be limited. Of course it depends on tour goals, if it'd be for exemple, for athletic reasons, it would be more harmful.
But at the end its your decision, think about it carefully

I agree. I don't know exactly how old she is here, but she looks to be about 14-15 years old. She could very well grow another few centimetres yet. I know that, in my own case, I grew an inch taller sometime between age 15 and 18. I only realised it a few years later though (I hadn't been paying close attention to it). And, no, I wasn't a 'late bloomer' in terms of puberty. Just normal/average. So, it is totally possible.
