Neil Diamond was in 1977, four days on Tour in Netherland.there were problems with the Hammond organ (110Volt America-Europe 220 Volt) I'm approached by Lou van Rees Management for a solution to my Hammond Rent. After four days I got my B3 Hammond returned with Fire spots of Cigarettes. It frustrated me.They have me removed me from the Neil Diamond Fan Club because I had this listed on their site.Never Excuse of Neil Diamond

Neil Diamond acknowledges that when he started out as a Brill Bldg. songwriter, he was in awe of Simon and wondered if he could ever be as good and as successful as Paul. Fortunately, meeting and working alongside Paul Simon didn't daunt our Neil and he went on to be the great star he is and always was. A lesser man might have crumbled, as they say...

Having followed Neil' music and live shows for more than 40 years, I thought Paul Simon was a strange choice. Apart from being Jewish New Yorker's there is very little musically they have in common. Paul's twee Iive shows are no match to Neil's bombastic marathon salvation shows. I think Bruce Springsteen would have been better. The Boss has yet to acknowledge that his live shows have been more than a little influenced by the bejeweled showman.

Awful induction by Paul Simon. His job was not to buddy roast but make a strong case why Neil Diamond belongs in the Hall. When the guitar influence of Diamond's first hit "Cherry Cherry" in rock alone should have gotten him in.I thought Simon's African story was atleast going to give props to Tap Root Manuscript (Diamond's platinum African-influenced album released 16 years before Graceland). But ofcourse even that story was told for a lame joke. Why it is always better for a current rock star to induct a legend (Chris Martin would have been great),not an old chart competitor with jealousy issues.
