Never seen Arsenio before as live in UK but what a superb and warm interviewer. Neil Diamond is my favourite singer / songwriter of all time - what a talent! Words cannot express what he has brought into so many lives including ours. Thanks Neil.

I'd say Brighton Beach was well represented in the audience. His singing is great but, his music and lyrics are out of bounds!! His writing makes him the legend that he is. Tin Pan Alley served him well. Been listening to him for more than 50 years. A VERY special entertainer. He had me @ Solitary Man. I listen to it DAILY!! Extraordinary!!

:-))) "Red Red Wine" the rendition Neil talks about at 11:00 was a fave my two sons played at the local Pizza Hut on their juke box. OMG Did not recall he composed this GEM of a tune. Yep I agree the rendition of this tune most magnificent.:-))) Love you Neil and "he ain't heavy he's my brother." on my little 45 record. Huh Huh huh. Ummmmm giving my age away, but who cares. Love you NEIL. :-)))))
Arsenio is funny. How'd he leave T.V? Neil Diamond is - Neil! one of the best. This from a Beatles, Rolling Stone, Led Zeppelin, Jim Croce fan. Not to mention The Band whose leader Robbie Robertson, put him in the Last Waltz.
His description of songwriting is similar to Tom Petty( a bit at a time. Something you want to play with) McCartney the same - play with what catches your ear.
Neil Diamond was in 1977, four days on Tour in Netherland.there were problems with the Hammond organ (110 Volt America-Europe 220 Volt) I'm approached by Lou van Rees Management for a solution to my Hammond Rent.After four days I got my B3 Hammond returned with Fire spots of Cigarettes.It frustrated me.They have me removed me from the Neil Diamond Fan Club because I had this listed on their site.Never Apology of Neil Diamond ;-( Beantwoorden
